Zoloft and withdrawal symptoms? Am i dying?

Posted , 4 users are following.

I took Zoloft 50 mg for two months. I didn’t feel much of anything and then all of a sudden after two months I had horrible symptoms like an increase in anxiety and panic. I went to my doctor he decided to add me to 100 mg. And I actually end up in the emergency department because I feel like I was gonna die. I told her after the emergency room trip but I wanted to come out of this so often. And since my discontinuation of Zoloft I have had numerous symptoms like palpitations, brains zaps,  Panic attacks, memory issues, many other scary things. However they always seem to happen at the same time of day… Usually in the evening time. And they come and go very quickly. Has anybody else had the same experience? Anxiety has a way of making you think that it’s not with drawl symptoms but that there is something else medically wrong.  I want to feel normal agsin.

Experiences? Thanks!

    Hi nichol

Different people experienced Zoloft withdrawal differently. I was on 150mg for four months, weaned off over three months, was off the med for nine weeks but the withdrawal was awful. I am not w back on 50mg and hope to wean down again once I feel stable. If you can cope with the withdrawal then just take each day as it comes and look after yourself.

    Hi

I’m currently going through withdrawal now and I panic at the smallest things always have so this withdrawal is twice as bad for me but take each day as it comes know that it is your brain playing tricks on you , you are not going to die keep telling yourself that it really helps also talk to people when you feel like that make sure your not by yourself well I find that helpful anyways it won’t last forever keep trying your best to think possative it does help
