"….Compared to other SSRIs sertraline tends to be... more activating (that is, associated with a higher rate of anxiety, agitation, insomnia, etc.) than other SSRIs, aside from fluoxetine.[52]
Akathisia—that is, "inner tension, restlessness, and the inability to stay still"—caused by sertraline was observed in 16% of patients in a case series.[53] This and other reports[54][55][56] note that akathisia begins soon after the initiation of treatment or a dose increase; often, several hours after taking the medication. Akathisia usually disappears within several days after sertraline is stopped or its dose is decreased. In some cases, clinicians confused akathisia with anxiety and increased the dose of sertraline, causing further worsening of the patients' symptoms….."
It's unlikely or would be extremely uncommon for Zopiclone to cause paradoxical insomnia, but mixing medications can have weird effects. I just think based on available information about Zoloft that it alone is the most likely cause of any new insomnia you have, unless you've been taking it for a long time and just started having insomnia. good luck with that.
