Zoloft beginner looking for POSITIVE Info!

Posted , 1 user is following.

Started 5 nights ago with 25mg, tonight my doctor wants me to take a full 50mg. My older sister is also using Zoloft and has been for three months, she said it really helped her.

I'm 22 and have anxiety and pure O. Stress and uncertainty led me to get back into my pure o thoughts and I just ignored them for a good few months but it's become impossible to not think about getting things. It seems that these thoughts and my anxiety have gotten worse since starting Zoloft. Much more anxious, constant thoughts, no appetite and waking up in a panic. This morning I had some stomach troubles but it settled after I went for a walk.

Hi there, I've been on and off sertraline for 4 years and it has helped me so much with anxiety and depression, it really has saved my life. My therapeutic doses have ranged from 50-150mg. Please don't be scared to take the full tablet, 50mg is a low dose, and is always my starting point when I get back on it. Things do get worse before they get better, but hang in there, it will be worth it! I'm re-starting now and I'm struggling, but knowing that it's helped me so much in the past keeps my spirits up. We can do this!

Thank you for your response! Do you recall how long the side effects made you feel this way? I'm honestly feeling miserable and so not like myself. My intrusive thoughts are at an ultimate high and I'm really hoping it's a mixture of the medicine and the fact that I am currently on my period (day 3 of 7).
