Zoloft help

I need advice. I’ve taken Zoloft before and forgot the process since it’s been a while. I’ve been on it for seven days and I’m in a pretty constant state of anxiety. Waking up at 5 am horrible stomach cramps. Is this normal? What should I expect in the upcoming days?

Heightened anxiety is very normal in fact that was my biggest issue for the first 3-4 weeks, along with stomach problems, tremors, sleeplessness, diarrhea, and the occasional panic attack or two or three, for the first 2-3 weeks. But after the 4 th week my side effects were much better and at about my 8th week I started feeling the full effects from the medication. Hope this helped and good luck

How did you push through the heightened anxiety? I’m finding it tough. I have emergency Xanax but I’m afraid to get addicted.

I didn’t take anything extra, just kept looking forward to hitting that 6-8 week point because I knew that was when it was going to start paying off. It only lasted about 3 weeks and the extra anxiety started getting a lot better as far as a side effect goes!

It’s been week 3 on 50 mg Zoloft.. I still get heightened anxiety and feelings of hopelessness that last only a few hrs, they go away if I am busy. What I hate is the tightness/ choking feeling around my neck area that makes me feel very uncomfortable .. has anybody else experienced this ??

I had this! It’s one of the worst side effects I had, sort of felt like a lump in my throat/neck combined with being strangled! It does pass with time and is a normal side effect.

I have terrible stomach aches every morning that cause me more anxiety. Is this normal?
