Hi Stewball you may indeed gain some more weight I started on 50mg last September and now on 150mg. average I have put on 8/9lbs every month.
it sucks because I hate this being a fatty amd clothes not fitting but I hate the way I felt before started taking these.

Yes I noticed a 25 lb increase. All my clothes are tight. My psychiatrist says I don't look fat.
That was nice of her. I needed an increase of Zoloft from 100 to 150. It is too early to see if it is working.. I have to agree with that I am happy with the way I feel except for this setback. I have never been fat but now yes. I will accept the fact as well as being told I was bipolar.
The first time I was told I had severe depression I was taken aback. My current psychiatrist has laid it on the ground and asked me if I was able to accept being told I have a mental disease and I will never be cured just maintained. At least she told me . My therapist has been more open to me also talking about my paranoia, manic episodes and panic attacks. Just that the weight got to me.

count yourself lucky that you have a psychiatrist to work with. I haven't being able to get reffered the best I personally received was 6 hours of over the phone CBT therapy which was useless.
I have actually being back to my doctor today and yet again have gained weight over the past 4 weeks although it has slowed down I am now weighing in at 309lbs which for my height (just under 6ft) is morbidly obese. GREAT...... the dietician refused to see me as there was no need.
I told the doctor how I feel which is better (no lightheadiness, can go out a bit more, no panic attack etc) but the weight gain is causing other problems such as high blood pressure, lower back pain, chest muscular pains and being lethargic..... his answer was "eat chicken and vegetables every day" which is great but considering I have now gained about 60lbs since starting the sertraline I disagreed that it was all diet related and the only change is these tablets. he has now agreed to lower back from 150mg to 100mg for 4 weeks and see if I can lose any of the weight....... I hope so because feeling like tim allen in santa clause and looking at 3xl tops is depressing in itself
keep us updayed with how things are going with yourself and I shall do the same remember not all us have the same metabolism etc so your body may adjust
