Zoloft making me feel like this?..

Hi, im 27 years old and have been on zoloft for a year. the past 3 months i have been feeling out of it, i cant tell if its my vision or something else. i kinda feel like im in another world, light makes it worse so i wear sunglasses majority of the day. When i get real tired the feeling gets 10x worse.. My Doctor upped my doze to 100mg about a month ago and it helps with my panic attacks but this felling is still there. Also this feeling happened before i started zoloft but it wasnt constantly like it is now.. I've had tests done and everything comes back good. Anyone else dealing with something like this?..

has anything increased your anxiety lately? If you had the feeling of being in another world before you started on Zoloft, then it’s not likely caused by the Zoloft. That feeling that you get is often called derealization. that’s when your brain tries to protect you from anxiety and stress so it tries to block things out. It’s not harmful but I know how weird it feels.

See if you can relax your mind as much as possible.

do some long slow deep breathing, listen to soothing music or meditation music. Listen to relaxing meditations on YouTube for anxiety.

getting some exercise also helps because it releases good endorphins in the brain which help you to feel better. stay hydrated with water because the brain needs a lot of fluid to function properly.

Think of what may be causing you extra anxiety right now. I do hope you start to feel better soon!

Hey, i've been on zoloft for the past 2 years and it has made me more sleepy in general. Due to an unforeseen change in my anxiety ive just gone from 125mg to 150mg, and I am suffering from the side effects a bit and hopefully once my body has adjusted I'll feel the benefits again. I feel quite out of it and its difficult to concentrate on things so you are not alone on that. You mentioned that you had this feeling before Zoloft too? I can only assume its just been enhanced by the effects as thats how I feel on it.
