Zoloft (Sertraline) withdrawal symptoms..but without missing a dose?

Posted , 4 users are following.

im on 100mg zoloft and have been since April 30 so approx 2.5 months. I was slowly upped from 25 to 50 to 75 to 100 over the course of a month. The last 2 weeks (but not daily) ive been getting those weird brain buzzing vision twitching episodes even when I havent missed a dose. I normally take the meds at night after dinner and if I forget, by morning im getting those weird feelings and they dont go away for quite a while even after remembering the dose. I dont miss a dose often, maybe 2 or 3 times since I started taking it. Anyone else have this happen?! Does that mean my dose needs to be upped?!

This is something that may work out with time or adjusting the dose. I never had a reaction from missing one dose. If u need to ck with UR dr then it's always a good idea leave a message with dr,it's on record then UR reported reaction .

Hi I am on 150mg sertreline. It took me months to find the right level. Also I found taking my meds in the morning which I also found that help. Cause when I was taking mine at night I had weird dreams and bad night sweats and weird fuzzy head. Have a good chat with your gp about this, it may help, take care

Are you taking anything else? Grapefruit will do this, and I recently went into horrid/major withdrawal despite taking my meds properly because I was also taking Milk Thistle. Been taking some other herbal pills recently and started to get the zapping again... Check with your GP or a pharmacist.

I've read wher grapefruit will cause the side effects. I forgot all about it.

I get the zapping occasionally from asprin or tylenol.

withdrawl can be brutal if not tapering off slowly.. Hope UR better.

Im not only anything else except prenatal vitamins (Im 8 months pregnant..medication was my last resort sad ) and ranitidine (Zantac) for heartburn and to protect my tummy when taking the Zoloft. I also get horrible night sweats and uncontrollable yawning during the day and super drowsy most of the morning hard to tell if it's pregnancy or mmedication rrelated.I tried taking It during the day last week and I got horribly nauseous even though I took it on a full stomach sad

I think you need to give it more time. And that sickness feeling is a common problem with this pill. I'm sure that in time you will start to feel better.

      Take care
