Zoloft to lexapro then back to Zoloft.

i was on zoloft for three years. 25mg, the stress of a new job, new daycare and sickness made my anxiety go crazy. Stupidly, i thought zoloft stopped working without thinking about upping my dose. i switched to lexapro for a month and it didnt work out. my doctor put me back on zoloft 50mg this time and its been three weeks today. i feel lightheaded, no appetite and tired. No interest in anything and i miss being happy and energetic. The first time i took zoloft it helped me immediately. Did the switching of the medication cause zoloft to take longer this time? I wake up with a burning chest, butterflies in stomach and sometimes im so anxious i vomit in the morning. Please tell me itll get better.

    hi Minnic

Poor you! Maybe it will take a big longer but as it worked so well before, it will likely work again. Could be your anxiety is different this time round. Many factors play a part. The side effects and how the med makes us feel is a real pain. We have to weather through them. Maybe take some ginger sweets for tummy? Do talk to the doc. They may have something to help make this journey less bumpy. Keep in touch. Stay strong. You are doing what you have to, to be yourself again.x

I took Zoloft for three years and then quit for two months and now I'm back on them for almost two months and I'm now starting to feel a little better. It does take longer the second time. I had good and bad days.
