Zopiclone

Hi

I had major nose surgery 8 weeks ago. Rhinoplasty and Septaplasty, turbinate dissection, valve rebuild, scar tissue removal and a lift (previous bodged surgery). I was stunted and made to sleep sitting up for 3 weeks. Knowing this, I requested some sleeping tabs from my GP to help. They gave me 3.75mg Zopiclone per night. After a week increased to 7.5mg. The dat after my surgery (and taking Zopiclone) I noticed tingling in my index finger. This gradually spread to hands, feet, legs, back, neck, head, hair follicles, ears and eyelids. Simply everywhere! I even feel the nerves tingling in my nose that is struggling to heal.

I am weaning off Zopiclone and after 8 weeks am down to 1.85mg per night. I wish I could stop completely. Still on 3 pillows and need some help. My question is, has anyone else suffered with such extensive nerve pain from taking Zopiclone.? The only other medication of significance was 4 bags of Transexamic acid to help with blood clotting during surgery. My nose is struggling to heal and get sensation back.My whole body is covered with neuropathic pain. Worried I will lose my sight. Could it be Zopiclone related. Neurologist and ENT consultant said to stop taking asap. But I need an escape from my body each night. Even such a small dose knocks me out 5/6 hours.
