Zopiclone use

Does anyone know if it's possible to use zopiclone twice a week without developing tolerance/physical dependence issues?

Hi Zopiclone is less addictive than benzodiazapines but can still be addictive, I know people who do take them regularly.

I don't know if it's like benzodiazapines where although I'm far from addicted to them my body has become so used to them I now would need twice as much to do the job they used to.

Have you tried valerian root about 900mg it has helped me on occasion.

Thanks for the reply.  I also take Elavil sometimes.  I don't like to take any single medication every day in order to try to not get tolerant or dependent.  I went years taking half a zopiclone every week and was curious if twice would be ok.

Hi, you should be fine doing that for a short period. The GP only prescribes a small amount usually no more than 14 tablets. I have taken them two or three times a week over a six week period with no difficulties. This sleeping aid really helped me over a difficult period, and helps your sleeping pattern to return. I haven't taken any in the past few weeks, and don't crave them or have a need for them anymore.

They are great for getting a good night's sleep.

    God bless ♥

It's good to know you took it 2-3 times a week for a while with no issues.  I like to switch zopiclone and Elavil since they work differently and it gives my body a break from the other.

Just to be clear - I don't typically use anything to sleep but when I do those are what I use.

I think they are much safer my doctor would happily prescribe some but she really doesn't like to give out benzodiazapines.

On the other hand they won't give me many probably 14 at a time.

As I said I know some folks taking them quite regularly and one of those was a community psychiatric nurse, so I would think they are not as bad as the benzos.
