Zopiclone withdrawal

due to a significant trauma I had a nervous breakdown for years ago. I was put under the mental health team who had absolutely no idea what they were doing and they put nothing proactive that could help me came out of it. They made numerous mistakes and then I collective care was horrific. I complained about this I was reassured That complaining cannot affect your care. However it did the mental health team completely cut me off they would answer no emails from my doctors other care workers i had at the time and i was just abandoned for getting on for two years now. I took a pic line in one day thinking it was a Lorazepam and it actually did my anxiety attack the world of good so I started taking those as I had no other means of help and they started having reverse effect because I have a chronic sleep problem where I sleep too much and they were keeping me awake which is apparently a side-effect of taking too many of them. anyway I began to say the amount I was starting to take as things were just escalating and escalating and deteriorating so I went to my GP who cut off all my sleeping appointments I did develop a eating disorder through lack of care and sent me to a place that did not know what they were doing and I was left to fend for myself I am so offended for myself to this day despite the fact I should be under a specialist at all times. I do not know how to get off this off the zopiclone The NHS will not help you even when they’re telling you not to buy off the Internet because it’s not safe yet if you don’t take the 28 a day your on you could have a fit so they won’t prescribe you any more for safety they do nothing in A&E not even for withdrawals they will just leave you to suffer there is nowhere else for me to turn any advice from anybody would be much appreciated thank you

I am in the U.S I was tapering off alprazolam I was prescrobed it for the past 10 years. Well my doc retired,new doc has ben tapering me very slow,due to the pandemic am going to request to not taper any more until this virus is under control. Every where in the world anxiety is rising because of the virus,they need to help you much luck.♡

Im in the U.S also and was just beginning a Xanax taper when the pandemic hit. My doctor suspended the taper until things get back to normal. Im very greatful as I have debilitating anxiety.

thank you lee i Appreciate your comments yes we have another three weeks lockdown here in the UK so things are getting a little bit tougher but I can’t say appreciate your comments yes we have another three weeks lockdown here in the UK so things are getting a little bit tougher but I can’t see are you getting any help with for a while after this is all settled down hope you are well and when the time is right you can taper off your drugs

this mirrors more or les what they did t me, giving me zopiclone, and diazipam since 1994 , up till now, in aug they reduced them to the point i have 2 full awake nights as i run out , ive has 2 7.5s per night for years , and they have always helpped me stay asleep , i complained, they kicked me off the mental health team, i asked for support as i felt it was to quick after so long, even went to the omdudsmun who was no help at all , im am still waiting to hear back i call mental health weekly and rant, and i wil till im seen , sending you love i really relate to your post x xxx

thank you so much for your reply. yep my complaints have been with the ombusman for 2 years! they dont give a damn ans its a waste of time complaining. unfortunately I have had three friends commit suicide due to the lack of mental health care in this country and not only that how you are treated when you do try and speak out. I have been spoken to like dirt and have caused me a suicide attempt with her false promises letdowns and make you feel like there is no hope for you. people give up and call the psychiatrists? He is very both childish and unprofessional to be cutting off suicidal patients they may as well just prescribe you euthanasia and be done with it as another statistic. It is disgusting and something needs to be done, mental health is as important as physical health if it was cancer which by the way I do you have or broken legs it’s a different story but Mental Health leads to physical health problems that leads to behavioural problems and then they wonder why people try and take their lives or care into their own hands. Half the people I have come across shouldn’t even be working in mental Health We are treated like animals and I agree you should go on and on and on at them but all that does is seem to just go against you but they don’t have to live with the ins and outs of Mental Health every day, I have decided to go private as I have been banging my head against a brick wall for five years now and I don’t think I will make it to the end of the year, I have fought and fought and fought and fought just to be fobbed and why should our lights be of less quality than any other persons we all have mental health and well-being and every single person alive has two. With all this labelling and stigma and miss diagnosis and whoever makes up stupid names because they don’tKnow what’s wrong with you ought to be listening to you a bit more but they always think they know best they always think they know you better than you know yourself yet you’re the one that’s living with how you’re feeling and it’s destroying a lot of peoples lives it needs stopping.

my post is still waiting to moderated but within in i have out the same.....animals are treated better and they may as well prescribe euthansia they have killed one if my friends already with there lack if care and attitude....mistakes yet what gets done about it

so glad you replyed x , yes every word you have said mirros my situation,just diffrent med ,ive lived my life for 0ver 20 odd years on zopiclone, i cant do withdrawl, im not putting my self at rick of strokes or heart attacks to give them good stats, i gett off people i know ,when i run out as unable to function with ooout, i asked for suport ,i was told ring samitains, discusting , can get a private gp ? i shall look in to that ,like you said , coz they cant see it, we still feel it, its very real, they dont care x and yes animals get better care is true xxxxx

Hello .I too am on Zopiclone ,as i have 24/7 tinnitus and cannot get off to sleep without it Many G P's have this hate relationship for this drug ,Mine was dead against giving it to me ,so I told my ENT consultant ,who wrote to the g ,p saying NOT to take me off it , Thank goodness ,otherwise I would have developed
Sleep deprivation ,which .I understand can be really harmful
I have no side effects from Zop ,and I never take more than the prescribed dose.
If someone could cure Tinnitus ,i Wouldn't need them any more

Its very dangerous to buy prescribed drugs online. They could kill. I think doctors and reviews should complement the choice of drugs a person wants to order online. Take the search seriously. I would rather try healthier drugs because at least they are more safe. Stay safe and always follow the doctors advice.
