Unless you have a Schophanina? GET OFF THAT MEDICATION AS SOON AS YOU CAN! It will take at least 18 Months! But I was miss diagnosed for 20 years from a head injury ! 20 mil. Back then that medicine was really expensive ! And they gave me samples! It almost killed me! It has been a year since I got off that medication! The Doctor tried to detox me in only three weeks and I ended up in ICU! For three days! Where the Doctor told me that that medication was killing me. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST YEAR OF MY LIFE! rashes ,Cant sleep, beyond sick for months! That happened in in Jan. It's now Nov. And I am just barely on my feet! Elly lily should be put out of Business for what this med. Does to people. Don't let it take your life! Try to get off it as soon as possible! Good Luck!

Hi Beverly,
My pdoc took me off cold turkey and I have experienced the most debilitating side effects (sleeping 0 to 2 hours per night for the last 4 months while maintaining a job and household on my own, anxiety which never existed before, tremors, dizziness, GERD, IBS-C, severe muscle spasms, etc.) Praying the insomnia will improve over time as I could barely function, let alone work like this. My suggestion would be to conduct a 10% taper every month. I wish thats what someone had instructed me to do. It seems like symptoms are less debilitating with a slow taper. I am also looking into supplements and diet change to help with my withdrawals. I came across a book called The Mood Cure, which I've been closely following. Below is a link you might find helpful!

I spoke to one of Julia's nutritionists and she said they have been helping people with withdrawals from various psychiatric medicines. I wish you the best! If anyone has any suggestions as to how to improve sleep while going through withdrawal, I would greatly appreciate it 😃
4 months zyprexa free! Sadly, I was prescribed it for chronic insomnia.

Hello Honestly time and time again I read nightmare stories here from that damaging drug! I went through my own hell experience being wrongly diagnosed and put on it and after one year the Doctor refusing to listen to my gut opinion that it was the drug that was making me so dysfunctional so I stopped it cold turkey which I definitely don't advise as the withdrawal affects were severe and lasted for months ending up in hospital a few times!
WHY is this drug allowed! It's absolutely criminal!
I advise you to consult with another Doctor on how to carefully proceed very slowly tapering off this drug!
I wish you luck and take extra good care of yourself!
