Rebooting Infant Pain Assessment: Using Machine Learning to Exponentially Improve Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Practice
This study uses smart computer programs to better understand and manage pain in premature babies in intensive care. By looking at how babies react to minor procedures, researchers hope to develop a tool that helps nurses and doctors tell the difference between pain and other kinds of discomfort.
Canada · United Kingdom - authorisedTherapeutic use (Phase IV)
A randomized, Phase 4, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 6-arm crossover study to investigate the systemic effect of lidocaine and ropivacaine when used for Transversus Abdominis Plane (TAP) blocks on hyperalgesia and pain perception in healthy volunteers aged 18 to 64 years.
This study looks at how well two common pain-numbing medicines, lidocaine and ropivacaine, work to reduce pain sensitivity. Healthy men aged 18 and over will take part. We want to understand their effects when used in a specific type of pain block.
