A study looking at whether metformin (a diabetes drug) can prevent weight gain caused by antipsychotics in people experiencing their first episode of psychosis

This study looks at whether a common diabetes medicine called metformin can stop people from gaining weight when they start taking treatments for their first episode of psychosis. We want to see if metformin can help manage weight often caused by these important medicines.
