This study is looking at whether giving a heart-supporting medicine, dobutamine, early to babies with a brain injury called HIE helps protect their hearts and brains. Babies with HIE often have heart problems while undergoing cooling treatment.

This study looks at how a new device called a 'pupillometer' can help understand brain recovery in newborn babies who had a disruption of blood and oxygen during birth (HIE). It measures how a baby's eye reacts to light to see if it shows how well their brain is doing.
