This study looks at new ways to monitor breathing in people with serious lung problems needing breathing support. We want to see if ultrasound and another method called EIT can help doctors understand how lungs and breathing muscles are working, to improve care.

This study compares two ways of giving breathing medicines – a newer vibrating mesh method and a traditional jet method – to people with COPD who use a breathing machine at home. We want to see which one works better for breathing and symptoms.
