Identifying features contributing to the development and progression of primary sclerosing cholangitis
Researchers in Birmingham want to understand why primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC), a rare liver condition, starts and worsens. By collecting blood, stool, and routine tissue samples from people with liver or gut conditions and healthy volunteers, the study team hopes to uncover clues that lead to better future treatments.

Targeting fibrotic tissue with a radioactive-labelled Fibrobody, visible using a full-body PET/CT scan (FibroVision)
The FibroVision study is testing a new type of medical scan to detect organ scarring, also known as fibrosis. Participants receive a small injection of a specialised tracer called a Fibrobody, followed by a full-body PET/CT scan. Researchers want to find out if this scan is safe and effective.

Fecal microbiota transplantation for primary sclerosing cholangitis - randomized study versus sham transplantation (FMT-SCLER).
This study is looking into a new treatment for Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) called fecal microbiota transplantation. Researchers want to see if transplanting gut bacteria can improve liver health.

FAecal Microbiota Transplantation in primaRy sclerosinG chOlangitis
The FARGO trial is investigating if a 'healthy gut bacteria transplant' (Faecal Microbiota Transplant, or FMT) can help people in the UK with the liver condition Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) who also have Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Half of the participants will receive FMT, and the other half a dummy treatment, to see if it improves their condition.

LEOPARD Training and Validation Data Collection Study
This study aims to improve how we predict who needs a new liver transplant most urgently. Researchers are collecting health information from patients with severe liver diseases across Europe to create better tools, using artificial intelligence, to help decide who gets a liver transplant and when.

A Study to Evaluate Efficacy and Safety of an Investigational Drug Named Volixibat in Patients With Itching Caused by Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC)
This study is testing a new medicine, volixibat, for people with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) who experience bothersome itching. It aims to see if the medicine can reduce itching and affect how PSC progresses.

A Study to Assess Safety and Effectiveness of Elafibranor in Adult Participants With Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis.
This study is looking at a new medicine called elafibranor for people with a liver condition called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). We want to see if it's safe and helps improve the condition, comparing it to a dummy treatment.

CM-101 in PSC Patients -The SPRING Study
This study, called The SPRING Study, is looking into a new medication called CM-101 for adults with a liver condition called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). It aims to see if CM-101 is safe, well-tolerated, and helpful in treating PSC.

A Study to Assess How Well and Safely Elafibranor Works in Adult Participants With Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis
This study is looking at a new medicine called elafibranor for people with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC). Researchers want to see if it helps reduce inflammation and scarring in the liver's bile ducts, and if it's safe to use, compared to a dummy pill.
