Since 2000 Adrian has been employed in emergency and critical care paediatrics based in Sydney, with particular interests in toxicology, trauma and resuscitation.
Adrian was born in the USA, raised in the UK & Germany and works in Australia. He read Chemistry at Christ Church, Oxford and then spent some years as a computer software programmer before studying for his medical degree at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy's and St Thomas' in London, qualifying in 1997. Currently he works for the neonatal and paediatric retrieval service in NSW which covers over 300,000 square miles and provides mobile intensive care and transport via ambulance, helicopter and fixed wing aircraft.
For over 20 years Adrian has been an author and peer-reviewer of medical leaflets and articles. He has co-authored a number of Australian paediatric acute care guidelines and is a contributing author to The Textbook of Paediatric Emergency Medicine (3rd Ed. Elsevier). He has been an Advanced Paediatric Life Support instructor delivering courses across Australia and Fiji since 2008 and a medical student tutor for the Universities of NSW and Queensland.
In his time off he cruises the world and continues to write medical and non-clinical application software.
