VINEGAR, VINEGAR AND MORE VINEGAR!!! You don't need to pay money to get rid of these things!! Listen up people, if you want to see quicker results just use vinegar to get rid of your awful warts or veruca/s!! Get either white wine vinear or apple cider vinegar, cotton wool balls and some duck tape. Break the cotton wool into smaller pieces (slightly larger than the veruca or wart itself) Soak these cotton wool pieces in vinegar and place directly over the veruca/s. Secure in place over night with plenty of duck tape. Do this every night. In the morning, remove the tape and shower as usual. Let the area dry up during the day and leave alone. After only a few days you will feel slight tenderness in the veruca area and you will notice that it changes colour, becoming darker. I think that this is because the veruca has absorbed the vinegar and the flesh is decaying and drying up. This is the only thing that has helped me with mine. Don't waste money on over the counter products-its a waste!! Don't have them cut out or frozen or lazered-off until youhave tried this for at least 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure this will be the most effective thing you've tried! And easy and natural and cheap. Try it!! Good luck!!! xoxox :ok:

RihannaLouise I think I had the same problem you were having so I filled a bucket with Hot Water and course sea salt and bathed my foot and the huge hole that was in my foot came up to the surface and the last few days everything is nearly gone, so I have no "hole in my sole"!!!!! Oh and i used an emery board to gently file all around the skin. I had a circle of hard skin around the verucca and I think that was helping to push it down. Try the salt soak and lots of gentle filing with an emery board, can't believe you had stopped/given up, it was your progress posts that convinced me to try this in the first place. LOL

Don't give up!! Yes, it will hurt like hell. I'm a runner and I spent two weeks limping (no joke) and telling everyone I had an injury when they asked (I wasn't going to say "No, just the latest salvo in the verruca war!") It did wake me up at night. There were times I woke up and had to pull the black tape and cotton pad off because it was so damn painful. It got worse nearer the end, I'm not sure if the root is attached to nerves or what? But it was definitely worse when there was little of it left. They got black, very black, and I took a razor blade to them - the kind you'd shave with, until it the red raw bit shone through and I taped them up again. It is PAINFUL. It may take several weeks, especially with the larger ones, but keep at it - the black means that that part of the virus is being starved of oxygen and has died, so black is good, it's dying - and yes, carol05 the black on mine moved from the centre to the periphery before going completely.

But I did find that a cheap disposable razor was easier and quicker than an emery board, yes it could cause bleeding if it struck a live part of the verruca but I just plastered it and started again the next night.

But don't give up, don't let it get you down. It will work. I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks and I can wear flip flops, and my big toe looks normal, no cauliflowers!

Carol05 - Thank-you that was really useful! I have been out and got some salt, however I couldn't find course salt but have fine sea salt instead. How long and how often do you soak your feet for?

Mike 76 - Have any of yours gone completely yet? I' finding it very hard on one of mine to know if its gone or not. The black seems to have all done, and I have continued to put vinegar on for a few days after this, and it still isn't showing any black. Its hard to tell if the skin underneath is good, as the vinegar seems to have made it a funny colour. Should I keep putting vinegar on it for a while longer to make sure?

Also has anyone's completely gone away, and the skin recovered? Does it look like there was never anything there?

Thanks everyone smile Lets keep going!!

RihannaLouise. Oh how embarrassed I am the sea salt was supposed to be "coarse". but i ran out the other night and used "fine" its all the same! Hope you weren't looking to far a field for the salt? I soak my foot for about 20 mins every night, I was doing it every other night, then realised that I was getting results so I had increased it, although tonight I intend to have a break from it. I don't think I'm anywhere near the end, there are really raw bits on my foot and yesterday I pulled a bit of it out that seemed to be incredibly deep. I'm desperate to know when it will all end. I don't know about you guys but my foot has been quite swollen around the area and its going down all the time, so I'm hoping thts a sign, I've been putting savlon on the surronding area and massaging to break dow the swelling. I'm having a break from the vinegar as I can't take the pain at the moment, I'm putting marigold essential oil on which I have been told that chinese herbalists swear by it to kill the actual virus.

But you are right. lets keep going, its actually good to communicate with other suffers about it as its been drving me mad, I've become obsessed by it and just want it gone!!!!!!

    Hi All,

I've just registered here specifically to be able to say a huge thanks to you all for the help you've given me with 2 verrucas i've been struggling with for over two years!

2 weeks ago I started with the Apple Cider Vinegar and it's worked so much better than all other remedies i've tried in the past. A few nights ago I had to stop because it was so painful and was waking me up during the night, but last night all the black seemed to just pull out. I'm now left with a 'hole' in the side of my toe, but it's looking very red and angry so might leave it alone now for a few days.

Hoping that this will heal over and the verruca will have gone? has anyone else found this has happened?Does soaking in salty water help to heal it?

Great to find other people with the same worries and be able to talk about it! Thanks again!

Hi Guys probably being very impatient here but after 2 days with ACV not much seems to be happening... the area has become more prominent and raised and white but the hole in the centre is not changing colour at all yet is this normal? I have had the verruca/wart on the side of my big toe for about 2yrs and freezing it did not work at all.

elle keep going! its well worth it, it could get little painful too but battle on smile i've been treating mine for i think about a week and a half, and i decided that when it got really painful to leave the ACV off for day and use banana peel, then after 24 hours go back to the ACV. i think i have had my verruca for bout 7-8 years. i've took some pictures so hopefully i'll be able to get them on here at some point smile but i'm over the moon to say mine has GONE!!!! yipeeee. thanks for everyone that commented on this thread about their success stories :D now i can join in lol. i've practicallly told every memeber of my family about it. and if i hear of anyone having trouble with verrucas i shall jump straight in and mention ACV lol :D

Hi girls again thanks so much! I am questionning the filing though as its agony just to touch it.. the area around it is white, raised and hard and just to touch the black centre is not comfortable at all.. does soaking soften it enough to file painlessly??
  • Posted

    hi elle,

yeah i did find that soaking it helped with the pain. don't get me wrong it still hurt like hell but it softened it and made it manageable. just simply have a go smile you know your pain threshhold. file until you feel comfortable. maybe do little and often smile. i battled through the pain because i kept thinking "pain is a good thing i'm getting rid of this horrible thing!! lol. xx

I've had a verucca for about 9 years now, it kept growing and I finally got sick if it. I've been to the doctors and tried several cures, none of which really did anything. Burning didn't work. Freezing didn't work. I came across this discussion and I'm amazed by the results. After two weeks, my verucca is a third of the size and completely black! This is by far the most painful method but at this point a don't even care, I know it's working and the pain, although at times is unbearable and wakes me up, is something I accept. To the above point about soaking your foot before filing, when speaking to my pediotirst (or however it's spelt) he said that the only reason filing hurts is when it's done on wet skin as the skin tends to tug and rip whereas on dry skin, it just rubs off rather painlessly. I've been filing mine everyday, about two or three hours after taking the cotton wool off and letting the throbbing subside. Looking at some of the responses on here, I think my for will be back to normal in no more than a week. With hindsight, I wish I took a before photo, because this "after" is miraculous.

ACV is the new love of my life! After less than a week of using this today the really black centre came out fully, what was left looked like a little bit of blood underneath so will not apply ACV tonight and leave it to calm down but after nearly 3yrs of having this it looks like its finally coming to an end! Can anyone let me know please once the main black centre comes out if I should continue to apply acv maybe from tomorrow just in case there is more? Thank you! :-)
