    Hi all

I have been on Sertraline before. 9 months in 2010 and 9 months in 2015.  I tapered off very quickly in December/January just gone as I felt like I could handle things.

Anyway, been very busy at work and went on a stag do away this weekend nvolving lots of alcohol then crash, brain fog, anxious, insmnia etc. The fear is back! Back on the Sertraline I go hoping and praying it works quickly,

I feel that I'm never gonna be myself without this fear of my thoughts and panic and low motivation. Although I can handle things now but this dark spot is their I just wanna live my life without this negative thoughts

I can't share pictures here otherwise I would show you how I was and what I've become. Stay strong. Keep in touch if you need it I'm here xxx

Thank you so much . Really this helps a lot , my case is I went through illness and I was thinking it's bad and so but after I made all the tests air all came normal but since this shock of imagining I'm in a bad situation I panicked so bad and got depressed . I would cry for no reason and I didn't have any motivation to do anything. My doc gave me this med and since then I'm waiting to be normal again , there is always something there in my mind which reminds me of my feelings before the med when my mind recalls it I go through panic and don't enjoy anything anymore although I can cope but not yet myself without thoughts in my mind .

You will get better what you have to do is keep increasing the dose till you find the right one for you. It started for me at 150mg so you never know you might need the same amount as me I'm at 200mg now and I'm doing well. smile

Will check with my doc in the next visit which is soon . I wish I just don't think negative at all like I used to before all this .

Thanks for your positive experience and I hope you can get off this med one day and all of us too .

HI yes I was feeling fine. Although I lost my mum in October so been dealing with that buy was on Sertraline during the period she was ill so was helping.

Went to the GP's this morning and she thinks I was probably dipping with regards to chemicals and then the alcohol pushed me over the edge. Back on the sertraline again just wish it would work instantly. Sleep is a big issue for me. I wake up at 2am with my mind buzzing and can't get back to sleep.

It WILL subside keep the faith on that. You will eventually be confident enough to be interested on new things and when you do, the panic and thoughts will subside.
