100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!

Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!!  Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.

Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.

Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.

Now for the Treatment that I used daily :

From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.

12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.

Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:

Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.

After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.

Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).

I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…

This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.

Good Luck to all and may god help you!

those are normal symptoms of ALL both good and bad bacteria dying off in your gut, so you will experience that. you need o take probiotics with this medicine. so that the good bacteria that is being killed by the medicine can be replaced.

how long did u take the rifaximin for and how much a day?

I took 2 pills (1200 mg total) a day for 30 days. But my doctor told me that the treatment can be up to 3 pills a day for 30 days or more. This antibotic does not go into the bloodstream, it only stays in the bowels.

thank you maurice. do you think that this treatment would still have worked for you, if you took the rifaximin for a shorter period of time, like lets say a week or even 3 days. Do you feel it was absolutely necessary for you to take it as long as 30 days for you to be healed?

I understand everyone's IBS is different so there may be different results for different people, maybe some people could take it for a shorter time and get the same results, but im asking you personally. I am going to be taking it for a week, and not sure if I should go back to get the same length of prescription that you did.

Well, the thing is.. this is what I did and it worked for me. If you read through whole discussion on this post, you will find a few that skiped the Antibiotics. I can only say that I beleive that it is possible to obtain results without Xifaxan, but it may or not take longer to acheive them, I guess it all depends on the extent of the damage in the bowels already. There is a few that claimed that even acheived results really fast, like one month if I remember well. It is all up to you and give it a try, you can always in the end try the other approach if you are not satisfied and do the whole course of the treatment, or maybe at the end, you may not even need it.

Can you eat regular junk foods during this treatment?

Did you keep a certain diet during this treatment?

If so what was it and how long did you keep this diet for?

During what period did you start introducing regular foods back into your diet?

I am currently taking immodium do you recommend not taking this while doing this treatment?

Hi, I stayed on heqalthy food for some time, only you can find out if your body reacts ok if you start to introduce junckfood. If you want to test yourself to see how much you have progressed, test yourself slowly and see how it goes. If you are starting the treatment, take it easy and only test yourself after a few months, let your bowel heal first. It si ok to take immodium, it does not interact with the treatment, but if you take the antibiotics, probably not taking it is better so that your bowels can release the bad bacteria that is killed off by Xifaxan.

    Update on my case:

    > Still just on Probiotics ( 24 billion strain ) and still 100% normal, eating and drinking like a normal person.

Had some times that I had to drink Red Bull / monster / Burn and no issues ( I did not go above 2 in one day when needed).

Also am drinking 3 to 4 coffees a day and no issue.

Looks like this has totally cured my IBS / SIBO, I just have to keep on with my probiotics and do not need the L-glutamine anymore from the looks of it.

    Good Luck to everybody. smile

Hello again, glad to hear that u can finally stop taking L-glutamine. smile

I am seeing some gradual improvement in my condition thanks to your advice however there are still plenty of food which I still cannot take. I was wondering if is it okay to start experimenting with food a bit after doing this L-glutamine diet for about 2 months-ish. I am really starting to miss carbohydrate nowadays sad

hi maurice ,,, seriously and amazingly happy for u ..

so ,, can u give a small TIP to evryone where ,,, everyone who undergo this period of time ( IBS n etc ) ... are more depressed of getting WEIGHT LOSS ( as iam undergoin this effect ).. n get more n more depressed ,,,

MILK , SUGAR , REFINED foods n etc all triggering n damaging gut ,,,,

Is there any foods that put weight on us while being suffering ,,,

where we can gain weight ,,, n confidently follow ur treatment ...

    • Posted

      I mean ,,

is der foods ,,,which does not trigger and damage the gut lining ..

but put weight on us ..

    • Posted

Well, that is a hard one, because I was already overweighted due to the drugs I was taking before. But I think the best to gain weight is bread, spagetti, etc. Just avoid stuff with spices, acid, alchool, stuff that everbody know that it is not healthy for the digestive system, that is what I did.

I would recommend you healthy fats that actually heal the gut but are calorific: Nuts (if possible the lowfodmap ones: peanuts, pecan, macadamia. almonds, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc. no pistachios or chashews very little), flaxseed, chia seed, avocado, and as Maurice recommends pasta and such, but Id say Id make them gluten free to make it lowfodmap, less irritant to the gut. All these and exercise has allowed me to stay in my healthy weight (even if I wouldnt have minded losing a bit wink )

Hi, you can try ti experiment, but take it easy. Only you can see how far you have come to be able to try some foods that you missed. I took it easy and after a few months I tried to introduce some foods that I have quited because of my case. If you are already two months of the treatment and feel the improvements, you can try to experiment to see how you deal with it, take it slowly, if you feel bad after, just stop and take more time with the treatment until you feel confident to try again.
