100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!

Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!!  Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.

Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.

Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.

Now for the Treatment that I used daily :

From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.

12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.

Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:

Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.

After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.

Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).

I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…

This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.

Good Luck to all and may god help you!

What advice has anyone gotten from their gastrointerologist?  Everything written in this thread seems reasonable, but I am wondering what the professionals recommend?  I took antibioties for SIBO, and finished the pills last week.  I have less bloating in the upper bowel and stomach, but still have a very large belly, and now have diarrheah.  I wanted to start taking probiotics, but wondered why they would not just go straight to the small intestine?   I generally avoid sugar, but am finding that difficult, and do not know if it has any impact.   I was diagnosed with fructose intollerance and lactose intollerance several years ago, and have avoided gluten for a few years as well.  This helps, but makes me very unpopular at dinner parties and does not seem to have any impact on the large belly, which just gets bigger and bigger.  I am trying to lose weight, and normally eat about 1000 calories a day.  Excercise helps with weight loss, but not with the enlarged stomach.

    Any professional or other advice???

I finished taking rifaximin (600 mg twice a day) after 1 month. While on rifaximin, people report great improvement, increased energy and ability to eat better. I experienced none of these positive effects. For the first 4-5 days, in which I noticed a slight improvement, I was taking rifaximin, probiotics and glutamine. After those first 4-5 days I started feeling bad again. For the last 2 weeks I quit probiotics completely and I felt a slight improvement again. Overall, for the entire month I only felt 10% better, at best. Now I'll continue with glutamine and I'll give it a try with fermented vegetables. Some people tolarate them better than probiotic supplements.

Hi, there may be people that reported results right away, but those are the lucky ones apart from you and me and some others. I had a slow evolution and it took me months to see improvements. So your case is like mine in the past. Just hang on and continue, it will take time to get there. Good luck

Hi Maurice - finally started the L-Glutamine powder and probiotic about 3 weeks ago. I was already really seeing improvment and feeling a lot better. I titrated up to the 30 g/day of L-Glutamine, don't remember exactly when, maybe a week ago, maybe less.  Three mornings ago I took the morning dose with water as usual, 15 g, and right away I felt off balance and shaky, that I think in turn caused a little nausea, but also had an ache in my stomach. I felt incoordinated when reaching for things and I felt really depressed, fatigued and kind of in a fog. I had to leave work early that day and yesterday.  These symptoms lasted 2 days and today is morning of day 3 and symptoms are pretty much gone now and I'm almost back to normal, but I've been afraid to take the L-Glutamine since. I don't even know for sure the L-Glutamine caused it, at first I thought a panic attack, then stomach flu, but the neuro symptoms were unusual, and it started immediatley after I downed that glass, so I was suspicious that maybe it was the L-Glutamine and maybe that dose of L-Glutamine is too much for me.  I bought a new brand that was cheaper too, but used a whole jar of it without a problem, but most of that at a lower dose. It was a new jar I had purchased of same I just opened before the symptoms started.  I had been taking it on an empty stomach 15 g with a full glass of water in the morning and 15 g at night before bed. When I took L-Glutamine in the past it seemed taking it on an empty stomach in the morning helped the most, but I was taking a lot less, like 5 g.  That dose wasn't helping anymore, so I decided to try your regimen with the probiotic.  Have you heard of this before?

Hi, reduce your daily intake of L glutamine to 10 or 15 grams a day. But at least 10 grams a day. 30 grams may be too much for you. Good luck.

Maurice - I am going to decrease to the 10-15 g/day.  Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. My IBS is already improved a lot even with the setback.  I'm beginning to feel there's finally a light at the end of the tunnel - thanks again.

When taking Xifaxin do you take glutamine and probiotics at the same time or only after you're done taking Xifaxin?

can u give ur opinion on this maurice?

Hi, I cannot comment on something which I do not have personal experience with. But my opinion here is that I know that L-Glutamine heals the lining walls of the bowels and stomach and it is good for gastritis. But anyway, I importantly advise you to check with your doctor about it. My treatment should not be an substitute for other health problems. If the doctor says that you may continue with L-Glutamine, check about what is the best dosage for your case with him.

did u try this MSM powder ?

so ,,what does this MSM powder do ,, like in other blogs they saying it also heals gut ?

so what exactly does MSM do to gut?

MSM is good for bones and skin, it has anti-oxidative properties.

It has no connection to IBS benfits in my opinion.

As said before forget MSM and stick to L-Glutamine and you doctors treatment.

As I said, L-Glutamine is good for healing bowel walls and it is also to heal stomach walls ( L-Glutmaine is the bigest food source for you bowel and stomach walls).

So just stick with the treatment for your IBS and at the same time you are healing your stomach walls with L-Glutamine which helps in return with your gastritis..

      You can call this a 2 in 1 combo,heh
