100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!
Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!! Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.
Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.
Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.
Now for the Treatment that I used daily :
From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.
12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.
Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:
Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.
After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.
Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).
I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…
This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.
Good Luck to all and may god help you!

Your posts are really interesting and I want to try your method. My question is, how do you obtain the Xifaxan? I am in England. My GP preferred to refer me to a gastroenterologist rather than prescribe it. I am now having to repeat tests that I have had in the past, probably only to be told that I have IBS and there is nothing that can be done, when all I want is a prescription for Xifaxan to give this a go (having tried everything else).
Is it just to do with being lucky with the doctor?

A great and encouraging story.
I'll start off by saying that you post made me feel a lot better and made me start taking L-glutamine a few months ago.
Ive be suffering with digestion problems for 4 years. Started with D and reflux. Had it for about a year. Doctors did absolutely nothing just told me to eat rice. After about 2,5 years I got so bad that my neighbour called me an ambulance as I was collapsing (was afraid to eat and in general became very anxious and angry). At the hospital they told me I have a lung infection and presdcibed me amoxicilin, After being on it for nearly two months my D stopped but I started to become C. Few months after the treatment that was advised by UK gps I was just becoming worse and had to go back home to lithuania (my mother country).
Seeing the doctor there and explaining him my symptoms, he without any tests told me I have reflux and afterwards I had endoscopy done which confirmed it and as well showed that I have a lot of damage done to my stomach ( h.pylori was found as well as stomach erosion). Treatment was 2 antibiotics and omeprozole for two weeks if i remember correctly.
Got back to UK and started to follow an alkaline food diet and taking some natural supplements from Holland and Barret (will iclude those later on) I was taking omeprazole as well. After two months of this i started vomiting especially after eating anything whole grain (rice, buckwheat, oats, any breads, milk was the worst). Got really fed up and just quit all the omeprazole and i started to feel a lot better but still had C with occasional D and silent reflux, bloating, flatulance and etc. just name it and i had it. Had this going on for a year and no major improvements.
Not so long ago I went back home and got myself tested again (colonoscopy, endoscopy, poo and blood tests, biopsies taken from stomach and colon). The results came back that my stomach and colon was physically perfect, blood confirmed that I dont have coeliac disease and poo tests showed no h.pyllory. I'm assuming that diet and L-glutamine (been taking it for 3 months before seeing the doctor about 20g a day (THANKS MAURICE)) fixed my stomach physically.
Have been prescribed with Xanax for my anxiety (been struggling with it for years but never took any medicine). To my surprise Xanax made my IBS symptoms disappear 90% with just after a few pills. My stomach muscles got so relaxed. With xanax my doctor prescribed Salutil priobiotics (5 billion in a pill to take twice a day). At the moment I'm ok but i dont feel thats the cure as I'm still wondering if its SIBO that I have. Mental health has been proven to have an effect on bacterias in the gut in vica verca.
That brings me to the reason why im back to this thread. Has my anxiety and stress problems killed of the bad bacteria which made me physically ill? And because the bacteria died of my anxiety got a lot worse? Has anyone have any input on this? Maybe I just need to fully recover my bacteria and do it while managing my anxiety and cure both things at the same time? Would love to have someones thoughts on this.
Is there a reliable clinic in london where I can get tested for SIBO? Breath test?
When prescribind the probiotics my doctor in lithuania mentioned that he's advising me the brand whcich doesnt release bacteria into the stomach and goes to the intestine. Anyone knows the differences? I wanna get more powerfull ones like 50 billion but dont want then to be for the stomach, want them for the intestines.
To the ones who are really desperate I just want to say that have hope and you'll be cured. Don't stress, eat healthy, use your own mind instead of blindly following gps who absolutely dont care about you. Keeping positive and relaxing has done wonders for my IBS, it hasnt cured it but i'm feeling like a functional human being instead of laying in bed and waiting for the next day to come and hoping for everything to end. Every single day was a misery. BUT ITS NOT ANYMORE!
My input on supplements would be: try and see what suits you. I spend lots of money on holland and barret but I found so many great supplements that my are worth trying. Ginger root, psyllium husk, vitamin B, DGL liquorice, L-glutamine and probiotics are a MUST in my case, it might not help you but its worth a try. There are many others things you can try and it might suit you.
I just wanted to share my story and get some thoughts about my anxiety and bacteria ideas.
Sorry for the spelling mistakes, English is not my first language and for some reason autocorrect is not working on my laptop.

About your question about the relation between stress / anxiety vs bacteria in the guts. I guess there may be a connection where constant stress / anxiety in our body may create several health issues, and where in some people, the constant stress / anxiety may disrupt the banlance of bacteria in the guts, making it possible to lead to SIBO.
