100% WORKING TREATMENT for my IBS!

Hi, I am writing this to try to help everybody that I can because I have been on the same boat as you guys and gone through this living hell for 3 years!!!  Short description about my previous case was that I could almost eat nothing, only eat what is normally designated for IBS menu, I was always feeling that I had to go to the Bathroom, I would have IBS-D attacks daily, even taking a lot of Imodium would not work totally, painful bowel cramps, the whole works… I could go on with the list…but you guys already know what are the symptoms from personal experience.

Doctors give this autoimmune disease the name of IBS because they are totally clueless of why this happens, so they just grab all the symptoms and put them in one bag calling it IBS… to me it is just the doctors another way of saying they are clueless but they don´t want to show it to us so they won´t look bad.

Dr. Pimentel who has come up with the theory about SIBO is the cause makes me think that he is correct, this is the only one doctor that had a clue.

Now for the Treatment that I used daily :

From 10 gram to 30 grams of L-Glutamine, to repair the damaged intestinal mucosa and lining. Repairing this will block big food particles from entering the blood stream directly due to the holes in the intestinal lining cause by the bad bacteria.

12 billion Probiotic daily at least, start by using the 50 billion probiotic and then after seeing results you may try to decrease to cheaper probiotics, but don´t go below 10 billion.

Using the SIBO treatment first if desired:

Use Xifaxan ( Rifaximin) antibiotic to wipe out the bad bacteria but this will also wipe out the good bacteria ( check for Dr. Pimentel’s SIBO treatment). While you are doing this, I advise you to take probiotics daily to compensate the bacterial slaughter in the intestines. You can also start L-Glutamine ate the same time to repair the intestinal mucosa and Lining.

After the Xifaxan Treatment, keep on taking the heavy duty 50 billion probiotic daily and glutamine. After getting better, you may try to change the dosages of L-Glutamine and Probiotics and see how you adapt to lower dosages to try to save money.

Since many if not all IBS people are prone to getting E.Coli overgrowth again, you will have to keep on taking L-Glutamine and Probiotics for the rest of your life. I am on this treatment for 1 year and now I eat Pizza, Junk food, Spicy food, drink sodas and Coca-Colas and am totally normal as I was before. I will not say I am cured because it must be an auto-immune disease, but you may keep it in check and be 100% normal by just taking this for the rest of you days ( L-Glutamine and Probiotics).

I have tried previously all know medications for IBS, Antidepressants, anxiolytics , antispasmodics, tried acupuncture, etc. and I was only 30% better, because this medicines do not fix the problem, the just drug your gut to numbness…

This treatment will take around 6 months to reach 100% improvement, but you will notice improvements after 2 months, so be patient.

Good Luck to all and may god help you!

I agree with the bacterial theory.

I'm kind of starting to prove this like Maurice has with sticking to only adding VSL and L glutamine whilst keeping a regular normal diet. I feel much better. My body seems to have become more tolerable to irritating foods such as alcohol, spices and fried food which used to give me bad stomach problems. I've had a bad diet over the past week and although I've had slight diahrrea and a bit of a stomach upset... It's no where near as bad as it used to be.

I've concluded that diet is important, so make changes and will stick to them. I know if i drink alcohol it will irritate my stomach for 5 days no matter what I eat or drink... But providing I keep it healthy after the 5 days I start to feel normal again.

I haven't had a severe ibsd attack in a while so whatever is in VSL plus the l glutamine has improved my stomach 99%.

All that stuff about being prescribed anti depressants, anti anxiety drugs, anti spas meds etc all helps, same as going gluten free etc but doesn't actually improve the situation.

I think u guys are correct and gp's just test bloods and stools for what conditions they already know about and try to control the ibs rather than find the route cause... Because of lack of understanding.

I think... For me Maurice your advice has helped me hugely with my ibs and can't thank you enough. I'm still not 100% and never will be, but I'm recovering and feeling much better.

For anyone out there reading this, who suffers with Ibsd and finding it frustrating as there is no obvious food triggers... All I can say is get on the vsl3 and l glutamine, eliminate fizzy drink and food high in sugar, drink water and give it time.

I seemed to be addicted to fizzy drinks and have random sugar cravings which I think was sibo or something similar. Now those cravings have gone and all the other anxiety, tiredness, diahrrea etc has reduced significantly.

    Thanks

Hi, I am glad that I have helped you with my information about my case and how I solved it. I do beleive that you will be 100% like me after a year of treatment. My current job makes me travel alot around the world and I do not know what I eat, strange foods, stranges tastes, but now I am ok but I still try to eat healthy outside of my country and avoid sodas. Best of luck to you and all. I just hope that more people write their good results here and make the word go out to help others! smile

I agree, they definitely ignore that there could be a root cause that COULD be addressed, because most of the 'information' regarding IBS states that it is incurable. However, I think it is difficult to create a one-size-fits-all cure or regimen for people with IBS because there could be many different types of bacteria inside them, or they might be IBS-C not D, etc. So for example, I'm fine with short-chain sugars, like sugary drinks, but not long-chain starches, and if I didn't get those sugars I'd probably feel really run down! But it's good to know that people are managing to help themselves - there is hope!

VSL#3 is recommended but expensive. Consider Kefir because it is self propagating. One batch reproduces constantly as it feeds on cows milk or coconut milk etc.

"In addition to beneficial bacteria and yeast, kefir contains minerals and essential amino acids that help the body with healing and maintenance functions. The complete proteins in kefir are partially digested and therefore more easily utilized by the body. Tryptophan, one of the essential amino acids abundant in kefir, is well known for its relaxing effect on the nervous system. Because kefir also offers an abundance of calcium and magnesium, which are also important minerals for a healthy nervous system, kefir in the diet can have a particularly profound calming effect on the nerves.

Kefir’s ample supply of phosphorus, the second most abundant mineral in our bodies, helps utilize carbohydrates, fats, and proteins for cell growth, maintenance and energy.

Kefir is rich in Vitamin B12, B1, and Vitamin K. It is an excellent source of biotin, a B Vitamin which aids the body’s assimilation of other B Vitamins, such as folic acid, pantothenic acid, and B12. The numerous benefits of maintaining adequate B vitamin intake range from regulation of the kidneys, liver and nervous system to helping relieve skin disorders, boost energy and promote longevity."

Yes like the other lady, what type of kefir do u mean?  I have only seen it in the supermarket with the yoghurts flavoured with blueberries et.  Is this what u mean, or do i need to look for a specialist shop or supplier?

Just seen these discussions from 3 mths ago.  Thank you for the advice Maurice, it certainly looks worth a try.  Have not had chance to read all replies, does it work with IBS d, as well as c?  I live in Spain so not always able to get the same supplements but i expect Amazon or H & B online would have them.  Some long term solution would be great.

Hi, I know that it works with my IBS-D and that it is already helping with ned7744 on the top, but I do believe that it also should help with IBS-C. Give it a try and let me know how it goes. I buy my stuff online from Prozis, amazon and Biovea. Best of luck smile

Is there just one type of Lglutamine?  When i tap it up it says it is a protein for sports people, is this the right thing?

Hi maurice,  Do you recommend taking Rifaximin first, or would taking L glutamine + 50 Billion Probiotic do its job if done for long enough?

    Thanks

I didn't use rifixamin (because I don't think I could get it in the uk) so just used vsl3...

Hey, I used vsl3 for about a month about a year ago on its own, and i've taken L glutamine on its own, never together.

I have bought both Lglutamine and healthaid 50Billion Probiotic and plan taking them together, Ive been on candida and fodmap diet for a few months with minor improvements (but its a good low sugar, low gut irritants starting point) and also S Boulardii.

Do you think mixing the probiotic and l glutamine would be much more effective than seperately (also i took vsl sachets not pills) so much this time it may have a chance at working?

Are you feeling better after this protocol?

I never really bothered to change my diet. I altered it initially until it was a bit more stable in the early days, but the problem with

Me was that I tried too many things at once which doesn't work with ibs.

Vsl3 took at least a month before I noticed improvements. To be honest I wasn't actually paying attention in detail and analysing it. I just took 1 sachet a day and carried on as normal. In still taking the VSL now and will continue to.

I tried VSL ages ago for 2 weeks and I was quick to judge that it didn't work... How wrong I was! It has worked and I'm 95% better. All I need to do now is identify the exact food ingredient that causes my attacks... And be nearly done this. Again I will be taking VSL and hopefully playing around with my diet very carefully and should be able to solve the 4 year puzzle!

Hi, I used Rifaximin to speed up the process of getting rid of the bad bacteria. You can give it a try without Rifaximin, it should work, just it will probably take longer. This treatment will take months to se results because it is a very slow healing process of the gut. Good luck and give feedback on results when you get it for people to read and get help here.

Hi, for how long have you used each seperate treatment and how much quantity? If you combine them both, the efectivness will be greater, but this will take months of treatment to see any results. Take the described dosages refered here in earlier posts. Good Luck

      Hey,

I think i took around 2-10g L Glutamine for about a month, and VSL#3 (450 Billion) for maybe the same, but i took them months apart - not at the same time.

Atm I'm only taking S Boulardii 20 Billion (but its not a Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus mix - its a yeast for helping fight candida)

Plus the fodmap + low sugar diet.
