    Hi Leanne,

What mg are you on and have you changed it in that 11 weeks. I would say that you probably need to increase as you should be feeling some relief by now.  Have you been back to dr?

Hi thank you so much for your reply , I've been back to the doctors he said I could increase but it's still early days on 50 mg. I dnt want to increase after the side affects I got at the beginning , I can't go through that

Hi Leanne. Sorry to hear that your having a bad time of it hun x. I think you need to go back to the docs hun and get a review of your meds if the doc. Is not helping you and you don't feel as though your not getting the help you need there is other channels you can go that will help you to recovery. Maybe changing your meds and getting something to calm your anxiety and getting a different SSRI

Oh I hear ya.   3 years ago I was put on tablets and within 3 weeks felt amazing on 50mg.   This time I was back at dr at 4 wks no better so upped to 75 (dr wanted me to do 100) but I was so scared of side effects aswell.  I will say I did get side effects again. It nothing like when first starting and three weeks on 75 mg I was pretty much back to normal.  I still have days but normally it's vefore that time of the month and I am aware of that now.  I would be about 9 weeks now I think smile

      Hi nick

I was on citralpram for 12 yrs , and I don't ever think I felt like this . Don't remember getting bad side affects either . It was the doctors idea to change me as my anxiety had heightened , I wish I'd never of changed . Don't get me wrong on citalopram I was a zombie permentley and all I wanted to do was sleep

There is CBT Therapy talk to your doctor if there is one that you can go to. NHS have CBT. But they could be a waiting list or ask to be reffered to a Crisis team. I went through hell last year and came good. And that was not from my GP. ask to have an assesment and take it from there x
