    Hi Leanne,

Sorry to hear that you still feel wretched on these tabs. I had the same problem and the only thing that I could do was to come off them. I tried them again a couple of weeks ago at 50mg and I got far worse problems this time on a lower dose than I was on. I just wish that the docs would realise just what these things do to us...its terrible I know, and I wish that there was something I could do to help. The only thing is that, by reading the forums on here, you realise that you are NOT on your own, you are NOT going mad and there is an end to this. If this doesnt stop then I would suggest that you go back to your doctor ASAP and tell him about the effects that you are having. Be firm and strong when you go...let them know what you feel like as after all, its YOU going through the terrible side effects. I was taking 100mg Amitriptiline and 150mg of Sertraline earlier in the year and I ended up with Seratonine Syndrome which is really dangerous, so it just goes to show that the docs DONT always know what they are doing. I tried a much lower dose a couple of weeks ago and ended up with exactly the same thing again, so now I cant take them under any circumstances. Now Im left to try and sort out the depression on my own and its not easy...if you have a doc whom you can talk to, then please go...dont suffer on your own. There is also therapy which can be organised through your own doctor if you wish to try this, but you may have to wait for the NHS to help. Im sure that a lot of people on here will help in any way that they can if you feel that you need it, myself included!

    Hope this helps!

    Take care

    Marie

I have just completed my twelfth week on 50mg. I just don't know whether to come off. I haven't noticed any significant improvements, but had had horrible side effects pretty much this whole time. Swollen sore tongue, spot/acne breakouts, trembling hands and facial muscles., dry mouth, vivid dreams and disturbed sleep. Tiredness, lethargy, loss of appetite.... There are more but that's the worst ones. I can't help feeling that my body is telling me that it doesn't like these tablets. I feel at times like I have damaged my nervous system with it. I feel very out of it and detached at times. So do I stop? I have two weeks left in the pack. Do I start reducing my meds as instructed and stop or what? Just don't know?
