i know everyone has different experiences but I'm just wondering....I had my THR 13 days ago...I'm still feeling pinching in my hip. I also al trying to get off the narcotics. Just wondering how everyone else's experiences went. Do you wake up one day and say...wow no pain!? How long will this pain last? Or am I just being a big baby 👶😭😪😥

Tramadol doesn't make me tired. I take 1 50mg every 6hrs as needed.

On this website look up the side effects of Tramadol.

Go to the Forums and in the alphabetical list under the letter T you will find it.

I had very bad sever psychological side effects with Tramadol.

If you are prescibed it and take it just pay attention to the side effects. Obviously it doesn't affect everyone, I guess I am just unlucky. I liked codeine which is what I was prescribed in place of the Tramadol.

I had no problems with Tramadol, pre-op; did a great job getting rid of the pain and allowing me to sleep at night, without any nasty side-effects. However, I couldn't take it during the day because it made me sleepy. Endone, on the other hand, made me feel strange in the head and caused awful dreams. I have no pain now with normal movements, just an aching feeling if I walk too much and some twingeing at the incision site.

Youre doing really well shoryz. Your 3 days less than me. Im still achy. ...twingy. ...cannot get my op leg on the bed without the lifter or some kind of help. Still on 2 crutches going to one inside

I do still have trouble getting the bad leg into bed, that's for sure and if I accidentally turn it the wrong way it hurts. Turning from my back onto my good side in bed is awkward, too, as is putting socks on. I can't bend my knee up too far while sitting, without pain. But compared to what I was like before the op....!  Can manage fine with one crutch. My hip replacement procedure was called "bikini anterior hip replacement' ; the incision is at the front so no cutting through muscles or tendons.
