15 year old nausea for almost 2 months now, please help!

So I'm a 15 year old female, and ever since the 9th of march I've been feeling quite ill. I went to the doctors and they said it was viral. A week later I went back and they prescribed me a antibiotics for sinus infection. A few days later I was throwing up. Which I thought I could have had a bug or it was side affects of the antibiotics. Which I think were amoxicillin. I waited a few days and went back to the doctor as I still felt very ill and they said it may be the antibiotics, so I had to finish the course with the fear or being sick again. I have a phobia of sick which didn't help at all. I carried on with the antibiotics and the nausea never went away however I was never sick again. Which made me believe it was a bug in my stomach. Two weeks after the the nausea is constantly there so the doctor prescribed me Gaviscon as I had really bad burps.
I am currently still taking this now. I have been missing days of school as I can't cope with the feeling of nausea. I haven't been sleeping properly, I have to sleep sitting up or on about 3 pillows, which isn't comfortable. I leave the light on as I feel less anxious.
I went back to the doctors and he said it was stress related as exams are coming up, prescribed me omeprazole (which takes 2 weeks to start working) have not seen any change so far and he told me to come back after my exams which is June!! Me and my mum are taking affect of this as she is stressed because we can't find an answer. I went back to the doctors today and I have finally been given a urine test and stool test to see if I have any infection or inflammation in my gut. However I can't go back till the 18th of may an I have exams before then. The nausea is constantly getting worse and I am going/ feeling like I ha e to open my bowels more than normal. It's horrible anyone suggest anything?

I think you should write down all symptons and go and see your doctor but I would also take your mum with you,as she will be able to back you up with how you have been feeling and acting,I'm sorry to hear you suffer with depression,i too had it when I was 14yrs and even now,I felt that my doctors were thinking that my pain was all in my head but i know thats not true but i find at my age 57 they are very quick to blame my depression for things when I am ill.like you I m not depressed at the moment but find that being in pain and feeling sick most of the day very tiring and does bring you down.you say you feel that you have food coming up in your mouth but you are not sick this could be acid reflux and can be treated.any of us on this site can only tell you what we have and yours may be the same but could also be something total different but don't worry.go back to your doctor.i hope they soon find out whats making you feel so bad but sometimes it takes time which I know is not easy for you,we all want the answer to our pain asap.I had a scan and was found to have gall stones,I thought great I now know why I'm in pain, saw surgeon and he says my pain is not from the gallstones but may be my back so i have to wait again for a MRI scan on my back,I do have a bad back but I am sure my resent pain is not due to my back but because this one doctors says it is I have to wait.you are very much in their hands which is not all ways fair.
keep in touch
take care of yourselve

I feel for you because at your age you should not be worrying about chronic sickness. I have had nausea for 8 mths now it's no fun. I have had a stomach infection that I took antibiotics for 3 at the same time and another drug that made me sicker. It all calmed down in Jan but my nausea went from a 9 to now a 4 . I am guessing it is gastritis for me that can take a long time to heal.
Have you had a blood test for Hpylori ? I was told mine was stress related too but I am not stressed.
Let us know what happens maybe you need a scope in your tummy to see what is going on.
Take Care

Do you have a GI doctor and has anyone suggested an endoscopy? An endoscopy es an examination of the stomach using a scope. Do not worry, you will be sedated and there es absolutely no pain. I have had the procedure about six times. Sounds like you could have irritation in your stomach. I am not a doctor but, your condition sounds very similar to mine. I was like- 18 when I was diagnosed with gastritis (stomach irritation). I was sick every day and it eventually healed. I am so very sorry that you are experiencing this and will certainly keep you in my prayers.

Nope that hasn't Ben suggested first, they are trying the obvious things first. It feels like it's taking forever to resolve this. Sounds awful Tia, that could be what I have, apart from puking all the time I haven't thrown up since about last month. Thank you so much x

I know it's hard to eat but chocolate is one test would irratate it for sure. I see a dietitian on a regular basis .
Try to keep it bland , consume soups , a few whole wheat crackers , potatoes veggies like Brussels sprouts , egg whites . I don't eat meat so I can't tell you which meat is better. I was told not to consume meats but since I am a vegetarian it was no problem. Try smoothies that might help get nourishment for you. I use to eat like a few tablespoons of this and that which was better then not eating .
I am still at the guessing g stage of what is making my tummy upset. I find placing heat on my tummy soothed it a bit.
Hope this helps a little , let us know how your test results turn out .
Hang in there I know I can say that cause I have for months

The one thing that frustrated me with my doctors es that they took entirely too long to find out what was going on with my stomach. They spent almost 2 years hitting and missing, I was suffering, lost weight to the point that I am currently like 30 pounds below my average weight and ended up with slight kidney problems from the dehydration. There are times that enough es just enough. Many do no understand because they have not been in the position. Sometimes I think pride may be an issue that keeps them from referring you to another physician. You have suffered entirely too long and I just question WHY they have no referred you to GI doctor. It es time to ask your parents to step in... As always, Sophie you are always very welcome.

I forgot to add, please stay well hydrated as dehydration will cause other issues such as kidney problems. I understand that it es hard keeping food down and your appetite is gone but I can not stress enough the importance of drinking fluid. You can also duck on ice and drink teaspoons of water. Definitely see a GI doctor. Your family WILL stand behind you and this es what you need...

I am no certain if I suggested this but, I had some success with Aloe Vera juice in the past. The taste es no great but, it es no the worst either. It can be purchased at Wal -Mart, Walgreens CVS etc. Aloe es a healing plant and I do believe that it can heal any irritation if there es any. Irritation will also cause nausea. I still strongly suggest seeing a GI doctor with the support of your parents. You are in my daily prayers.
