150 mg for ages and struggling on 200mg sertraline

Sorry to keep asking questions people,

I've been on 150 mg of sertraline for years and was stable , recently went up to 200mg and feeling terrible after 2 weeks . Can upping your dose even if you have been in a 150mg for years really take more than 2 weeks to improve ?? I would understand if I was new to the meds but I'm not .

has anyone been through the same ?

Oh dear... what was worse today anxiety, depression or both? How long have you been on 200 now? 3 weeks? My 17th day on 200 was manageable. I had no anxiety and felt 60% myself most of the time, especially this pm and evening. I hope it's possible to improve even more on Sert and it's nit everything it can do!!!! I hope you have a better day tomorrow!

Do you take anything for anxiety? Did your doc give you any benzo? How do you feel your anxiety? Mine is tension in my upper back and racing thoughts. Did your doc say how long should you give your new dose? I am like you re depression. I an feeling a bit better but still not myself. Let's hope we feel better soon x

I was taking Xanax if I really had to after each increase and it gave me some relief. You wont get addicted if you take it short term or even every other day. Anxiety makes depression worse and also the other way round. When do you have to come back and see your doc? I have a review next week. I really hope to feel better by week 6... stay strong!

Review is 2 weeks , have you taken diazepine?

No, I have never taken Diazepam but Xanax is from the same family of benzo. I think Xanax only works for a few hours when Diazepam acts longer so probably Diazepam is better.
