150 mg for ages and struggling on 200mg sertraline

Sorry to keep asking questions people,

I've been on 150 mg of sertraline for years and was stable , recently went up to 200mg and feeling terrible after 2 weeks . Can upping your dose even if you have been in a 150mg for years really take more than 2 weeks to improve ?? I would understand if I was new to the meds but I'm not .

has anyone been through the same ?

I'm in week 3 now, up and down mate .

Some times I feel an improvement and others not so. I'm going to give it at least 4/5 weeks and then assess the situation .

ps gp said i shouldnt still be feeling so anxious after 6 months and said they are not helping you anymore

Unfortunately it is like starting again as your body gets used to increase in seratonin. Hope fully side effects won't last too long for you.

    Hi, John

I would give it at least a couple of months, frankly.

When it works, it does so very well but you have to be very patient.

    Good luck.
