150 mg for ages and struggling on 200mg sertraline

Sorry to keep asking questions people,

I've been on 150 mg of sertraline for years and was stable , recently went up to 200mg and feeling terrible after 2 weeks . Can upping your dose even if you have been in a 150mg for years really take more than 2 weeks to improve ?? I would understand if I was new to the meds but I'm not .

has anyone been through the same ?

It can take a few months before you feel really well; you can feel awful while adjusting to a new dose. It's best to be patient and you will feel better.

You probably haven't found the right dose yet Victoria. When I first started sertraline it took ages to settle down . Try exercising and getting out in the air if you can . Although I'm struggling now ,I know it will get better for me and for you .

It's because it doesn't really take effect for a while ,when I very first started taking sertraline ,I was all over the place for 3 months ,it will gradually ease off . Stay positive Victoria. You will get better I promise x

Tell your doctor , you might need an increase or maybe mirtazapine at night to calm things ,I'm no doctor so I would see you're gp and talk them through what's happening .

      i went through

      dizziness that went

      blurred vision that went

      sweating that went

headaches that went but now have panic attacks it feels like i am getting different symptoms every day but yeag gunna see gp later and i am not goung to leave untill they help me instead of just flogging me off

Good for you, mirtazapine is a good option to help while the side effects are still present , exercise really does help ! It wont be instant but it will help . Good luck at the doctors and let me know how you got on . My ear is always available if you need to talk x
