18 days

Just want to put it out there that today has been 18 sober!!! 😊😊😊

I calculated an abuse of a weekly average of 50 (6oz) glasses of wine a week.

What is very surprising is the lack of interest I have in picking it back up.

Just reading the after Easter posts. I think they had a break. Well done on your 18 days. I hope you are saying 23 days now!

Thanks John. ? 23 days now. Not all rainbows and unicorns but that is to be expected which shows that I can not go back to drinking anymore. My first signs of withdrawal was depression and pretty intense. I could/did not want to get out of bed. Went to the emergency twice for heart pains and weakness but was from major anxiety attacks. I'm tired and only just started having nightmares recently. I have a short fuse but funny enough I'm in a great mood 90%of the time. Also helps if I go for a walk or jog. I also take my supplements to help me out as much as possible.

Your doing well, 23 days is brilliant. I have been off it for 4 days, doesnt sound like much but i know that i can not go back to drinking again. My anxiety was mad a few days ago, weird sensations all over my body. I was major scared...i could never feel like that again. Thats another one of the reasons that i know for sure that drinking is over for me. had a tempted moment tonight but i read my allen carr book instead, its really helpful and makes you see drink in a different way. Things will get better for you, take it day by day. Thats all we can do, one more day off it is another to add to my 4 and your 23. Off it forever, sounds like early days but i know i can not do it anymore. How was your Easter?

Yes, I found counting the days helped a lot. The thought of going back to 0 was a big incentive not to have even one small sip. Keep going! biggrin

Hey Sharon...how are you doing? 🙂Easter was quiet. For the first time of my 42 years on this earth nothing was done in the family for Easter which I found disappointing but I guess that's the way it goes. Sorry for the delay in responding but I sometimes do not check my messages if I feel tempted to drink but today is a great day with no desire
