Went to the hospital yesturday to see ENT specialist
They have said I have -
Vestibular Migraine (a.k.a. Migraine Associated Vertigo or MAV)
I now have to keep a diary of what I'm doing and what I'm eating. To see what trigger is.
This has all caused depression/anxiety.
Bloody bugger if you tell me
I have MRI tomorrow and MH team have offered me behvour therapy over the phone.
Just thought I keep people updated.and if I can help anyone going through what I am.
All the best.

Ive only just spotted your post about the vertigo thing - sorry! My emails jammed so no notifications of updates...doh. is it something that is easily treatable? ?? Hope mri comes up ok. Cant believe they left you so long with such bad dizziness (they seem to put all sorts down to anxiety n depression). Im just pleased for you they're finally doing something about it.
You sound like the break has done you good n that coming off the flu is going ok (but forgive me if ive missed bits). Nice to hear from you, hope that good feeling stays with you.
Take care

I have stupid flu now boo
last 3 days I haven't felt dizzy
weird ha! My dad recons it might be all them meds were still in my blood stream and they all needed to come out.
Hopefully get to cause of my vertigo keeping a diary and he said I can take beta blockers if it keeps coming back. I think couple people on here have been on them.
Big hugs to you! And thanks for being so supportive when I needed it. I recon I was the lowest ever felt in my life. Iv got first MH session today aswell I let u know how that goes. I hope they hurry up with you!

No dizziness for three days-almost worth having the flu for? I had propanolol which is beta blocker when I had really bad shakes, helped those a fair bit I think.
Just about to book a night away but in march or april, go with a friend every year instead of buying each other Xmas/bday pressies - big fat meal lots of wine no snoring husbands and spa next day. Fab.
Im doing really well at mo, have nt laughed so much in a long time n everyone thinks I've gone mad cos im making them all laugh so much :-) its a nice feeling, enjoying it while it lasts which I hope is a very l Iong time!!!
Will keep fingers crossed for mri results n hope dizziness bogs off permanently for you. Take care flower.

Hope everyone's well.
Weather has really helped me BUT the dreading dizziness has come back to haught me. Iv brought me down so much I can't go out over the evening and hardly stand up I try to ignore it and still keeping a diary. Also my family have been making comments like ' your making excuses '
I'm really not! I would love to be able to enjoy my holiday and get drunk and go for meals but I can't! That really makes feel so rubbish about my self and the thoughts of ' I'm better off dead ' have come back. I even text my mum who's back in uk what I thought and she said try to enjoy it there's nothing she can do. I wish people were supportive and I'm not making excuses! I hate feeling like this! I was normal once! Loving and enjoying life now this.
Hope everyone's feeling well. Hate sounding depressing!
Big hugs ' I could do with one '

Lack of support is usually down to lack of understanding, people who haven't had first hand experience of depression just have no concept of the impact it can have physically as well as mentally and emotionally. I admit I didnt get it before either. And since ive been ill, I dont know how many times I found myself apologising for feeling ill. Ridiculous!!!
You have an illness, depression is serious and you have this dizziness thing too! Wish I could meet your family so I could make them understand and bo$$@#k them!!!
Ignore them, rest when you want to n stuff them. Try to just enjoy the sun n warmth (its cold n grey n miserable here!). Hope you find some answers soon n that the dizziness eases.
Sending bucket loads of hugs. Take care of you.

Thanks so much for the kind words
Yeah I text my dad last night you try being in my shoes and see what I have put up with. As I didn't go out with them last night. I'm enjoying my last day today. Just gonna lay by the beach and go for last meal with everyone and then head to bed. I'm ready to go home to my cat and mum ha I know sounds sad but it's a comfort.
How you feeling? How's the blues? The finally doing one for you?
Thanks again vix! Big hugs!

A great big hug from California. I am so sorry to hear your experience. I am going in this Friday for a VNG test due to my balance issue. I have had this since 2004. The doctors want to get an actual prognosis/name for it. My 2nd oppinion ENT thinks it's it's Ménière's disease where the first ENT thinks to Autoimmune inner ear disease.
I hear this is a 2 hour test with State of the art technology. Let's see if they can help.
I really feel for you, cause when I have a dizzy spell or vertigo it's the worse feeling in the world. Look into steroid injections. They've helped me in the past.
I don't get the migraines but when you do try to find a quiet dark room. Try some lavender oils. I am so sorry. I really feel your pain.
Hugs and more hugs!!!!
