2 weeks post vertical laparotomy

Tomorrow I will be two weeks post op so thought it's about time I check in to see how everyone is a to leg you all know that my surgery went really well.

my cyst was aprox 35cm, weighing 10lbs! I had that and my right ovary removed via a vertical laparotomy.  Thankfully the surgeon was able to keep my incision below my belly button, although it is large at 7" which required 23 staples.

Over all I am happy how it went and how my recovery is going.

Lol, mine were right on the end of the bed and none of them or the doctors noticed

I've developed slight tenderness at the top of my incision, right under my belly button. It feels rock hard too. I'm paranoid about incisional hernias. I can't see anything poking out though.

have either of you experienced this?

I haven't chased them up yet. I've been distracted by my dog chewing his paws lol. Had to take him to the vet and it turns out he has allergies so is now on antihistimes and paw gel. So I've spent the last few days watching him, in order to stop any sneaky paw chewing!

I might try in the next few days.
