2 Years Pain Free!

Posted , 11 users are following.

Wow! Where has the time gone! Just a quick shout out to my old hippie friends & some words of encouragement for the newbies/soon to be hippies. Take each day as it comes, be kind & gentle to yourself, positive thinking, don't forget your exercises & don't get too hung up on sleeping! Sleep when you want, you don't have to wait until it gets dark! X

    Hi Fernlady,

I remember you from 2 years ago. I had a LTHR in June that year. Indeed the time has flown. So glad you are doing well. I too have had a great result and hip is pain free with complete range of movement. And finally I can sleep on it. However that did take nearly a year!!

Hi to Mic and Judith too!

Rocket man and Renee have given so much support to this site.... it all helps when you feel desperate and in pain, family try but can’t understand the sheer exhaustion being in constant pain brings.

Yes I have been skiing and hiking.... moved house and bought a Campervan. Husband and I have been all over UK in it with dog!

However you all might see a bit more of me again as Right hip is now slowing me down. Seeing Consultant next week as I am once again in constant pain and limping.

However at least this time I know what it is and I am certain I will be pain free again.

Agree with Fernlady, be gentle with yourselves, don’t forget your exercises no matter how impossible they may seem at first and sleep will come.

I was told to lie flat for an hour everyday.... so after lunch I would take painkillers and lie on the bed and mostly fall asleep for an hour or two, that saved my sanity I think!

    love to all. Kris. X

Well now I am jealous! I would love to buy a camper van & travel the UK with our dog but convincing my OH is another matter! Oh, & I can't forget about a little thing called work!

      Glad you are well x

Thank you! Lovely to hear you are doing so well too. I dread to think what my life would be like without the option of this surgery.

      Thank you!

yes Campervan has been great and I am lucky enough to only work part time on “the bank” OH is reducing the amount he works as he has just turned 60!

So happy to hear you are doing so well too..... I remember how nervous we all were! This time I won’t be and I know better how to cope.

      Thank goodness for the NHS.

Kind wishes to all hippies, old and new!!

      Kris. X
