Have you gotten an answer that can help you with your problem yet. When the prostate is swollen it only means the prostate is starving. The prostate needs a few things in the body so it doesn't get enlarge. It means your son needs to get the proper things in his body for the prostate to shrink. It's pretty simple but of course no one will tell you that. There are a few things the body needs. Zinc, selenium and I can't remember everything.
I am taking care of my father 95 yrs old and I bought Proaxil which has the right amount of everything the prostate needs to shrink.
I hope u got help for ur son already but not I hope my information will be helpful.

Hi Helen! I am a young man who sufferered from an enlarged prostate since I was eighteen. I am now twenty two, and haven't had relief from my condition. I have had a scope up , to see if my prostate was cancerous and it wasn't. Its been miserable dealing with the urination frequency, and other "issues" The only thing that helps somewhat is an electronic prostate massager, but its a temporary fix. Glad to know another young person has the same condition.

Is it confirmed cancer? Is it a problem you've had for an extended period of time? I'm 28 and just started having symptoms (difficulty urinating, frequently have to go at night, no pain). Its felt like the symptoms have come out of nowhere, which seems odd for cancer unless its super fast growing. I also issues with this like 6 months ago, but they went away on its own, which also seems un-cancerlike. I've looked at a bunch of sites comparing prostatitis vs cancer, and I can't make heads or tails of it. It seems like they basically have the same symptoms.
