The op went well on Friday. I visited a few hours later, he did look a funny colour and was still a little under the influence of the drugs but smiling. The consultant told him to take plenty of salt (for the past three months he had cut it out) and drink the bovril on offer at meal times. He was out of bed just to go up and down on his toes. On Saturday he took a few steps but felt light headed so will do more today, Sunday. The worst part of the op? The nurse who tried to take blood from his arm, second time he didn't feel a thing. He is enjoying the cameraderie on the six bed ward and also hospital food, 'Roast Beef followed by Apple Crumble today.) he has nothing but admiration for the hospital. Tony's wife.

      Hi Lucite

      Hope all goes well.

You need to rest well tonight even if you can't sleep.

Have a bath and snuggle down with Sunday papers/TV etc. Don't try to sleep until you start yawning.confused
