Hi, I had my gallbladder removed 3 weeks ago via keyhole surgery, as soon as i returned to ward i was very drowsy, couldn't stay awake for longer than 5 mins, BP was low, was very cold, had been sick 3 times was still discharged same day, ended up back in a&e next day as could only stay awake long enough to be sick, sorry folks but each time I was sick it was getting darker in green colour, almost khaki green, filling 3-4 kidney bowls at a time, given fluid transferred to trauma hospital as skin was turning yellow, kidney and liver function dropping, was given more fluids and and anti sickness and when could hold fluids down surgeons explanation was he doesnt know if I was taken out of anesthetic properly or I reacted to it, surgeon felt my stomach said it was fine and was discharged again, all within 48hrs, as each day goes on I feel weaker and fatigued, bp still seems low as constantly getting lightheaded whether im sitting or standing, passing urine 1-2 times a day, urine very dark and not a lot, drinking plenty of water, have constant nausea and when I can eat I have diarrhoea about 10 mins after finishing, have strange taste in my mouth, like sugary metallic taste and no matter what I do I cant get it away, im always cold to extent hands and feet are turning purple, having sweats, be soaking but body still very cold, to touch, whites of eyes are a yellow colour, have constant crushing pain in right ribs just below my breast, constant dull pain where gallbladder was, cant walk to far as pressure from pain in ribs restricts my breathing, cant sit for long as get very uncomfortable, cant lie down for long, cant stand for long, have barely slept since surgery, dont see gp for another 2 weeks as only appointment available and dont want to go to a&e as they will probaly just do the same thing and send me home none of the wiser surely this isn't normal, I feel 100 times worse from surgery than I ever did before it, is this normal after gallbladder removal, was told I could return to work in 2 weeks, only medication I'm taking is nexam and paracetamol, is this something you arent told about, is this side effects of gallbladder removal

sorry so long, but I'm getting very down, agitated and my anxiety disorder is through the roof with the pain in

    Hi again Evelyn,

Was just catching up on the latest, and felt compelled to respond. You said that you are feeling pain in your chest, and that it hurts more when you breathe. I had those same symptoms, and on top of my bike leak? I had a collapsed lung.

You really should go in, and make someone do some imaging. You have to be your biggest advocate when it comes to getting medical care. No one else knows your body better than you.

    Take care
