My head was still spinning from pre-op a week later, let alone 2 days later. Its a really big day, if you are public, with interviews, chemists, anthestist, junior surgeon, physiotherapists, nurses doing ECG, and swabs for bacteria, etc, although I can also see the advantages, not enough time to worry about what you have been told.

The other thing I have really enjoyed is a tray that fits on my walker. i am able to get and transport my own coffee in the a.m. but also use it to carry lots of other things from one room to another. I will be 6 wks post op on Monday. Good luck to you! You sound well ready.

That was a question i did have does the physio decide whether you have walker, crutches etc?

The physio was carrying full length crutches as well, I vetoed the use of full length due to shoulder pain, felt I would be better on elbow crutches, and that turned out to be the case.
Once you get used to the crutches you become really good at walking with them to support you, and the physios do teach you the correct method of using them.

We live in Recliffe, but all of my various surgeries have been done at Pr Charles, or Royal Brisbane.
