Sorry to hear that Beverly.. What testing are you using to test eradication ?? You must feel unwell..

I only had one round with triple antibiotics ..

I've read that is the best . I just sent off a stool test last week.  I have had endoscopy and hpylori breath test that came back negative. Do you have symptoms?

      Are you taking probiotics??

I hope it gets rid of the bug this time ... How did you know that you had it ?  I couldn't eat at all and started losing weight with gastritis.. I too have no ulcers.. Do they test for other stuff in the stool besides hpylori ? Like candida ??

How long have you been going thru this ? Sounds horrible .. I still don't feel that well .. So I am hoping my stool test comes back negative for hpylori ... I don't know I could do another round of antibiotics sad  But I guess I would have too ... Are you in the USA.. They don't do stool tests for hpylori here in Canada .. So I sent mine to the states ....

How are you receiving these messages when I thought it was UK based???.  I have been like this since April 2013. Countless scans 4 in total, endoscopy too.

I am not sure but I think it's worldwide ..not sure...

Wow that's  along time .. You been off work that long ?? What's the standard test in the UK for hplyori eradication ? Endoscopy biopsy? Do you mean cat scans ?? Did they keep telling you it's gone ?

I am not sure how I got it .. It's kinda confusing ..

No this is first time off work after the quad therapy. Breath test, then stool test and endoscopy usually in that order. If you test too early after last of antibiotics tests will not give true answers. It should be 6-8 weeks after finish course. Yes ct scans same thing nothing showed on them.

      It keeps coming back ?

I had endoscopy done 4 weeks after breath test 9 weeks after .. Both negative and now sent a stool test... They are testin for more than hpylori .. Although it takes awhile to come back I hear.. That's awful for you ..

Have you tried any natural products ??

The bug has never left me, the antibiotics haven't worked. A test here takes less than 4days .

So you've been unwell that long ?? In the USA a hpylori test takes 2 weeks minimum . I think I would look into herbs or supplements .. Have you heard of Dave Hompes.. He's from the UK.. He's suppose to be a hpylori expert...

Hi Beverley, I too am having the stool test next week. I had h-pylori last year. I felt better after taking antibiotics but still don't feel right. I don't fancy taking them again but might have to. I don't have an ulcer either. I also have an hiatus hernia and on lansoprazole and had to stop taking them for 2 weeks, so been having acid problems. I got another 3 days to go before I go back on Lansoprazole.

Good luck with your results. If this last lot of antibiotics haven't erradicated the H Pylori I am to be referred to a gastroenterologist at the hospital as I've been unwell for over a year now.
