5 minutes of nausea, profuse sweating and feeling faint.

Hi all,

Last night i woke up with nausea and slight discomfort feeling in my stomach. I then started to sweat profusely, my whole body was saturiated and i felt very clammy but I would not say i was hot or overheating. I did not vomit, as i felt that i would not be able to make it to the toilet, as i was worried about losing consciousness and did not feel i had the strength to move. Therefore i stayed in bed and fough the urge to vomit. The whole episode lasted 5 minutes.

I had a similar episode 2 months ago with exactly the same symptoms, however and that occasion i did vomit.

The following day after both episodes I felt fine (about 85%) with no loose bowel movements or loss of apetite.

I am a 31 year old male, excercise 5 times of week and consider myself generally fit. Family history of Pulmonary Embolism.

Any ideas, similar experinces or feedback would be great,

Thanks.

I’ve been dealing with this since November and before then it was 2013. The symptoms also seem to be more intense around my period but I still have them regardless.. like lastnight for instance . I go to sleep and wake up suddenly almost startled. I can feel my body getting hot and tingly and then severe nausea sets in and also that urge to vomit . I rush to take my zofran and Xanax which I’m not proud of sad .25 // I have a bowel movement and then lay on cold bathroom tile waiting for this to pass . And telling myself not to call 911. I’ve called 911 a few times before and also driven myself to hospital over the winter .. it’s a horrifying feeling and maybe i almost have a PSTd thing about it . My doctor thinks it’s anxiety and panic attacks but everything was more then well when this began again . Not sure if I buy it .. I do think you get anxious when this happens often bc you feel like death . And I’m married with 2 sweet kids and I hate that I suffer with this in the wee hours of the night .. just trying to do whatever it takes to prevent it even with these meds .
