6-7 cm. cyst found in left lateral lobe of liver. Having symptoms of nausea,diarrhea, severe fatigue, pain in upper abdomen,radiating to back. Weight loss, decreased appetite. I have appt with heptalogist (sp), what should I expect?

I had 5 of them for years dr said don't mind if they don't cause you any problem unless they grow and cause problem like mine did bit it took years

I did not do anything because the doctor told me if they dont bother me to let them along of course, back then they were only 2.5 cm he said most people don't know they have they. I found out about them back in the year 2000 never gave me a problem until December 2017 went to emergency i had a very painful sharp knife pain stabbing in back side kinda on the upper right side under rib. It was to painful to bend forward. Did CT scan cyst had grown 18cm had it drained on 01_19_18 I am hopeful it don't fill back up if it does dr. Said we are looking at surgery

Sorry it's always a worry when you have a over cysts and a mystery why they grow.Like I said mine was back in a week or two when stared having the back pain.I thought maybe gallbladder and they did the ultra sound and it was back.It took me a couple of mo before I had my mind right to see the surgeon.They did a Laparoscopic on the cysts and they say it won't return.Good luck....

Well I only had one trip to the emergency room this year. I had excruciating pain on my right side under a rib. I had a CT scan back in January that's when they found out that the cyst had filled back and just as big. Made an appt with my liver specialist and he wanted to do laroposcopi but i'm to scared that I will die. I know eventually Iwould need it. So i pray every day that the God gives me courage to follow through with it. Thank y ou for responding to my post.

It's good to talk with someone who's been through this and I know you are worried.You have a lot to think about and wishing you well.Keep asking questions and with the Dr too it's your liver he's working on...take care!

Its mind boggling to know the liver can create cysts. I was reading on here and i to am experiencing a dull aching pain under my right upper quadrant. It all started after my two day drinking binge. Went 6 months with the dull feeling until my friends encouraged me to go in so i did. First time i went in they did blood test and ultra sound, everything came back ok. Well the feeling didnt leave. A month later i went back in and they did another blood test but they did a CT scan and the doctor found what they call a " Liver cyst". I begin to panic and immediately liver cancer came to mind. But the doctor says no its not cancerous and its nothing to worry about and the pain is probably a pulled muscle. So yall think the cyst is big enough to give me this dull feeling?

I also have a pinching feeling on my left side and had a scan they told me I have 3 -2cm cysts on my liver. I have had diarrhea/constipation for 2 months I was given Cipro and since then feel worse I’ve had back pain and now a pain in my left kidney area. Nothing feels right I have a lot of twinges and pains and bloating/gas. I go to gastroenterologist next month I am very scared.
