But I was fine until I had these surgerys, I have another appointment next week with gyni surgeon and am still experiencing pain it sometimes feel like pressure on my bladder, I have had 3 month course of hrt pessaries. Please can anyone help, I do not want to be told again its not to do with op, I had none of these problems before these 2 ops

    Hiya

I had TAH BSO in July last year same pain in left side couldn't cope so found my consultants secretaries email address on google so emailed her every week, finally went bk in for investigation laparoscopy and discovered mass adhesions on left side apparently due to the void where my ovary was is filling up with adhesions I am going back in on 31st March for open laparoptomy to have them removed I have 3 horizontal scars 2 x C Sections and 1 TAH been in my belly button twice I'm like a road map but I would rather have a few years of no pain than suffer as I am now, can't sleep keep my husband awake it's awful. Keep pestering until they so something for you xxxxx Nic

Hi Nic I feel so sorry for you this is so awful and it seems after surgery they really don,t want to know, I think we all know our own bodies and when there is pain, it feels so insulting when no one seems to take any notice, I will ask about adhesions when I see my surgeon on Wednesday I am taking my sis in law in with me for moral support. will ley you know how I get on, take care Les x

    Hiya Caroline

yeah it is good if you can book and choose my first gynaecologist  refused to do a hysterectomy he did an ablation and sterilised me but it didn't work 2 years ago, I then went in finally after choosing my now gynaecologist he ageed a hysterectomy plus BSO would be best that was July had this done then the investigation op on 22nd December now this open surgery end of the month. Yes  he is lovely when you see him but it takes so long between appointments it's frustrating. Hopefully this will be my last op for a few years otherwise people will be using me for a noughts and crosses board haha xxxx

Feeling so ticked I could scream...having to wait till April to see yet another gynae consultant, as i said, earlier post (chat here with caroline).  Was signed off work again due to the pain in my side..seriously considering resigning (was on a year/term contract as a TA). Dont know when I will be fit enough to do my job-pain free and feel so bad to mess them about, tho work been great (not entitled to sick pay so no loss there if I resign).  Feel very stressed about it.  Having nightmares etc..most unusual for me..  Head asked me to take some time to think about it, but I think I am done..it's always at the back of my mnd..

Saw my gp again today as pain increasing. She was on holiday last week when other one changed me to 'long term' (out of your head) pain meds for 'chronic pain', and reckons the hospital wont do anything if it is adhesions now...says pain can't be from op as too long now (end Oct 15), and there's nothing in there now for them to do anything with!...(didn't have this pain start till few weeks after ops), and now she thinks it may be scarring to bowel as now also causing bad bowel pain tho going ok...tenderness def increasing in side, even just while walking...

So fed up of doctors..def lost faith in ours. Took me 'losing it' completely before they referred me in first place, insisting the consultants wouldn't operate on me (they did, and quickly, as suspected cancer, under two week rule), so she's been wrong before. Aarghhh...sorry just had to have a moan somewhere.

Family is being great but most folks just dont understand and makes you feel like you're an attention seeker or something...so fed up being defined by this pain problem..

    appreciate the listening ear ladies..

    how are you doing Lesley?

    best wshes

Hi Karen I feel exactly the same my op was last July and told this cannot be from op but never had these problems before, I am going back to my doctors and starting all over again, I will not mention ant and pos repair and hysterectomy and take it as an entirely new situation and see what happens then, please dont feel alone, just keep being a pest and hope you get help soon x

Thanks Lesley. My doctors dont want to refer to hospital at all, tho if you say 'private treatment' there's no problem.  (unfortunately my husband private health care changed with his job so they wouldn't cover this)..

I dont see any reason why i should have to take long term extremely strong pain meds for something/the cause, that they cant be bothered to look for properly.

So It's a waiting game for the appt now...another 4 weeks or so..she said they may do scans..but no point in hurrying them up now when 'only' 4 weeks to go now!  .(never mind 8 weeks already waiting appt, and 2 months of increasing pain before that)...oh well, moan over..thanks again x

really hope you get some help too. The thought of having to start again from scratch does scare me, but thinking of looking into changing doctors surgeries if necessary. X
