I personally think Tapering is much easier but you must be commited to making a regular jump.
I wish you all the best with your journey and would happily lend a ear when things get rough...
Take care

Now you have a plan in place you can beat this issue.
The tapering works better than cold turkey I have just tapered down from 125mg 48hrs fentanyl and I’m down to 12mg git two patches left then off totally. It’s taken six months to do and it isn’t pleasant but it is doable.
Keep focusing on the end and being off the poison and getting at least some of your life back. It’s worth the wd’s Just to get off them.
It’s hard and you will have bumps in the road but you can do this!!!
If you can beat opioid withdrawal you can do anything!!
Good luck with it going forward.
Here if you need any help

There is one bit of advise I can give you to try and help you with the W/ds.
I found a forum that said Benedryl really helped the withdrawal detox symptoms and it was confirmed by loads of others to be a lifesaver.
It apparently replaces a certain chemical in the brain which the detox takes away from you and is the reason behind allot of the detox unpleasant effects.
I decided to try it for my self and I can honestly say it makes me feel so much better every day it has really helped to lessen the withdrawal effects.
It’s the standard tablets one every eight hours so 3x capsules a day and it’s been a lifesaver for me. If I forget a dose I really knows about it so it must be doing something good in helping me.
I’m not a doc or anything so don’t take it as gospel and it might not work for everyone but as I said it’s helped allot if detox sufferers including myself so it might be worth thinking about if the W/d effects are bad.
Just thought would let you know it might help.
Good luck!!’andy

Thanks for the reply that a good way to do it. I am on the liquid one for breakthrough pain which since I stated the fentanyl withdrawal is all the time. Going through a bottle in 5 days roughly. But they want me to stop that too so my body can adjust and see how the pain is.
If it’s anything like now I would have thought they would know how bad the pain is. They took away my number one painkiller and think it won’t increase my pain. It obviously has.
I am not sure I can come if the oxy too just yet but I will when I finish my detox just to see how my body cope with it.
I can already know that I will be bed bound all of if the time as the pain is too much to handle without meds.
We will see
Thanks for the advise
Andy
