    Mike,

It sure sounds like health anxiety. I say that, because I suffer from it as well. I am a lot older than you (I'm 53) and I have constantly worried for years about my heart, because my grandfather passed away at 54 due to heart and my dad passed away at 71 due to heart.

Because of that, I think my mind tricked me into believing that I would die at any moment due to heart. Due to that, it has caused me to have this anxiety that is accompanied by body shakes, clammy sweats, nausea, foggy brain, etc.

I have had several tests performed and the doctors say my heart is fine. Being told that and believing it are two different things. I kept thinking they were missing something. So, I would google all of my symptoms and that is the worst thing you can do. After googling, I thought, for sure, that I was dying.

The reason for telling you all of this is that we can allow our minds to really play with us and make us believe that something horribly is wrong, when, in fact, it's just anxiety.

Have you seen a therapist or your doctor? I ask, because therapy has been of help to me and I was put on an anti-anxiety medication and it has also helped a bit.

Bless your heart. I’ve had similar symptoms. I have suffered from anxiety since my 20,s in onmy mid 40.s. I had it controlled for a long time and now the meds that seemed to work don’t. Zoloft has me in a fog which just increases my anxiety. What are you on?

Yea I am feeling everything everyone is mentioning too.. I can't tell what's real or not anymore.. doctor has given me antidepressants but my anxiety is that high now I'm scared to take them.. going about day to day is a struggle only time I can relax is when my husband and I go to bed and I hug into him

I would definitely take the antidepressant. I know it don’t seem like it will help at the moment and your anxiety is through the roof I was the same exact way. I’m on venlafaxine and while it was kicking in it made my anxiety go up which they can do that but after a week everything settled down. I could think straight again I wasn’t feeling anxious anymore not fearing dying anymore or worried about my health (as in to the extreme) I have severe health anxiety also. I can relate to everything everyone has said on this post but since I’ve been taking my medicine I feel great. Try it and see you won’t know until you do. If that one don’t work for you or you think it’s not doing it’s job talk to your doctor they can prescribe something else until you find the right fit for you.

I really do think I need something to help me but my husband is really against them and thinks I should snap out of it myself I am really trying but it's really hard.. I don't know anymore if I have sinus problems or allergies as when I actually take the antihistamines the doctor gave actually make me feel worse.. there are times I am thinking my body is shutting down on me.. I had a lot of bloods done stool samples and a throat swab and all came back clear.. It's hard to see a doctor now as you have to say what your symptoms are over the phone and they say I'll leave you out a prescription instead of actually checking you out.. it has got to the stage i don't know what symptoms are real and what aren't..
