A new forum problem

Posted , 10 users are following.

I was pleased to see the list of notifications wasn't so spread out. Thought it was a return to old version. But now you can't mark as read only selected messages which you'll have read when you go through the whole post. Now you can only mark ALL as read. To go through and read each one separately will take forever. I've had trouble keeping up as it is, but at least I could read a post, then mark as read all the other notifications for that post. Going through one by one will take forever. I give up.

    Hi all,

As I mentioned in another discussion I am aware of the "Mark as read" problems including the lack of the "Load more" button until you have less than one page of unread notifications. I have passed this and all of your feedback on and have asked for this to be addressed/rectified as a matter of high priority.

I'll keep the discussions about this updated with any progress.

    Regards,

    Alan

At the same time is there any hope of having the in-page notification box reinstated? The amount of page-changing and scrolling on a computer is less than funny! And there is a large blank space to the right of the screen being wasted now - at least a third of the screen.

It has just taken me more than two hours to work my way down to this reply of yours, and this was with me clicking on every post as one has to, but most had already been read, so I went to another post, moved as quickly as I could only made a couple of replies. I still haven't got to the place where the posts I marked as read the other day are. Sigh.

BTW this reply of yours is at the bottom of a page of currently unread (as far as the forum computer is concerned) replies so I haven't even cleared the backlog more recent than this particular exchange.
