ive been on Alendronic acid for a few months and have  been getting sick a few hours after taking it. How common is this? Will it affect the efficacy ?

    HI Ann I take something similar with a litre of water and save up my ironing to keep me upright for an hour. I never do anything as instructed. I always do more than what has been recommended. I have never had any side effects and I catch up on my old favourites on tv at the same time. Just thought of one side effect. When I go out with my walking group a couple of hours later, need to find a toilet, quickly.!!!! Seriously though, talk to your Dr. There may be something more suitable for you. Spontaneous fractures are a serious problem and very debilitating, as you have discovered. Best wishes.
