Advice needed....bad infestation!

Posted , 116 users are following.

Hi. So glad I found this site! I responed to another thread (how much do I not want to hear that word!) but thought I'd start a fresh one to describe my situation (hell!) and seek advice

I teach so I tend to blame the kids for the infections. I've had threadworms twice in 4 years despite being very hygenic at school. Each time they took some shifting.

My latest infestation is terrible. It started 9 weeks ago (saw worm in anus) and then realised I have been showing other symptoms but hadn't put 2 and 2 together.

I took an Ovex tablet but because you then have to do a massive clean I then took some Ovex liquid formula a week later incase I inhaled eggs in dust. I took the second Ovex at the right time. Things improved.

Into the 3rd week I took another tablet (a right pill popper I am!) just to be safe. Could I have made myself immune to the tablets?

I didn't change my diet and continued to drink quite a bit of alcohol on nights out. Lo and behold they came back with a vengeance.

I had them in my vagina and intestines (very itchy bottom). I freaked and took Ovex. 4 days later it hadn't improved so I saw my Doctor and like a fool, broke down in tears at age 30!

She couldn't work out why Ovex wasn't doing the job so she assumed it was down to my hygene on some level. I said that it was always possible that I was inhaling the eggs when dusting/hoovering etc. What a farce.

She gave me Pripsen (powder sachet). This certainly calmed them and I started to pass them (dead) BUT all the while my vagina was very sore and the discharge (sorry for the detail but it may help others!!) was 'stringy, white and worm like'.

Yes I freaked. Unsure as to whether they were dead. I assumed that Pripsen was getting rid...doing it's job. I made massive change to diet - no wine/beer, chocolate, cheese, bread. Cut down on carbs. Stopped all processed food. Bought stuff from Holland and Barrett herbal shop.

All went well until... the mucus in my nose appeared white and stringy. The flaming things had entered my nasal passages. I don't know how. I'd read on the internet that it was possible (they NEVER say this on the treatment information leaflet!). I freaked. My nose was itchy. I tried nasal spray...this was hurting my nose as there wasn't actually anything wrong per se. I continued with the cleaning and swabbing of all bodily areas.

I took another Ovex a day earlier than recommended (I could tell they were alive in my gut) and sure enough started passing dead worms in stools. Freaked again. Seriously - at this point I thought I was going insane. Couldn't sleep. Felt weak. Spending an absolute fortune on cleaning products. Started to actually throw away clothes, knickers and duvets (see, insane!!)

Okay, let me end this essay...sorry. Basically, I have one Pripsen sachet left to take on Friday but I still have stringy mucus in nose. Vagina is showing 'worm' symptoms again ...and...they are coming out of my eye discharge (not kidding!). I have no idea if they are alive as they are soo small and stringy (like the nose). Worse when I wake up in the morning. I was getting more crusty sleep in the eyes...then I had a proper look...and got a hell of a shock. Nearly vomited even though they were tiny and dead.

I am in hell. I do not know how to kill them in these areas. The internet says it's possible for them to reach these regions but offers no solutions.

I'm eating soo much fruit but I read that this could encourage. I just don't know what to do for the best. I am exhausted - I can't sleep, have rings under eyes, my hands are soo sore and fingers look like I've been in the bath for a month. I won't have friends over and they have noticed 'I'm ill'. School starts tomorrow and I am dreading it.

Sorry for the ramblings but I wanted to be honest and give a complete picture!

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ADVICE?

Anyone ever had the discharge in the eyes, nose, vagina (sorry guys)

I am at my wits end and soo run down with all this.

Thanks for your time.

Okay, I haven't got a clue if you guys are still replying to these. But, I'm a bit young to know about or probably even be on here. I'm 15 and this is the second time I've had threadworms in round about 2 months, roughly. Like I had them as a child but I thought nothing of it and they went away. But obviously now I'm a teenage girl and hormones and all that. I'm already a really worried, panicky person and I know people say they're harmless and not to get worried by them, but I honestly can't help it. Knowing that they are there makes me want to just burst into tears. I start to shake and just get so upset because I don't know who to talk to about it. Like, obviously I told my mum and she got me ovex, but the first time I took the powder stuff which worked really well but yeah. I took the over roughly 2 days ago on Thursday (today is basically saturday it's 2:46am) but yeah, I told that. Now my vagina has been itchy and I think I found a few there, like I'm not 100% positive but I honestly think it is. I've heard people say the ovex kills them in the vagina. But, I'm so scared. I don't want them at all. They cause me insomnia, they make my paranoia worse and I just can't stand them at all. Like, I just want to take the powder solution again, instead of the ovex because I don't think it's working, It's just getting me so upset.

If any of you could help me or reply to this I would honestly appreciate it so much, thank you.

Laura, don't worry, it's pretty easy to get rid of them. You don't have to do all that crazy hygiene stuff. Find my posts and follow the advice I gave. Try to ignore the posts about funny places where threadworms sometimes pop up. It's very rare for that to happen. Sometimes one can get in your vagina, and its annoying, but it won't survive there. Wash your hands in soap and water any time you touch your bottom. Use a jug of warm water (or a 500ml pop bottle) and pump action soap and wash your bottom after wiping every time. A smear of Vaseline will stop the itching (they hate it).

Best to get treatment for your whole family. Treat everyone at the same time and repeat every 10 days to 2 weeks with Ovex. You're not really supposed to, but I made my first dose a double. Two Ovex tablets. In hospitals, doctors usually give 3 or 4 Ovex tablets to the patient, so I figured it was okay. I kept going for about a month the last time, and it worked. My family were fine about taking the tablets.

You can get Ovex in online chemist shops or free from the doctor. Don't be embarrassed. Just say you've picked up threadworm somewhere. I think I got mine from working in a shop and handling money. Cash is really dirty. Always wash your hands. Always wash your hands after going to the toilet in school or work (and home) too. That's another place it's really easy to pick them up. Your doctor deals with threadworms all the time, they're used to it. Really, it's no big deal.

    Sending you a hug,

    IJL

    Hi all,

I havnt posted for awhile on here.

Im just popping into give an update on my ongoing TW scenario.

I'm still taking the DE - a tsp. twice aday in alittle apple juice. Ive been doing this since august 2012.

I gave up taking Pripsen and all the other big pharma shit afew yrs ago as they useless. The DE is brilliant. Instead of having TW's most of the time i have them occassionally now. My life has changed around as no more sleepless nights having to deal with the critters. I also take something everyday orso called coloncleanse which our wholefood supplier sells.

I have a very healthy diet, mainly vegan, no sugar or junk food. Eat seaweed regularly too and brown rice as they said to be good for keeping the gut healthy. Miso soup good too and raw garlic regularly. I use coconut oiltoo, brilliant on face as a skin food.

Ive never followed all the obsessive cleaning rituals that some people get into as i also think that is a complete waste of time and life is too short. TW seem to have a liking for some people more than others. I think alot of people are unaware they have TW's and other worms too. Hope everyone is keeping positive and not being down. smile

My son and I have threadworms, took first dose of mebendazole on Monday (6days ago), having just checked my son's nappy he is now passing a lot of worms, and also these white, hard seed-like things... What are these? Does anyone know? I presume it's to do with the threadworm?! Just wondered if anyone could clarify? Thanks!

    Hi,

I just wanted to tell you i do understand your pain, this can be a real nightmare.

although this is not a cure it can help maintain some control and help you relax a little.

someone posted on hair that they don't like garlic and that's true. g.arlic is a great antioxidant epson salt baking powder garlic they are all antibacterial antifungal even though it will not kill them it's great for soaking in baths, Dr teals makes a epson salt mix with spearmint and eucalyptus or a rosemary and mintthat will help stop itching and calm some of the anxiety , great for before bedtime. I sometimes mix my own bath soaks with baking soda ,& epsom salt it seems to calm it down some. Also i have been making my own cleaners, since they are not find of garlic, i mix fresh garlic, minced garlic garlic powder & Epsom salt with euculiptis and boil it, after it cools you can pour it into a spray bottle and use it for dusting or cleaning your bathroom works great. hope this helps some

And, if you went to see a doctor, they would diagnose your ailment as parisitosis -- a psychological thing.  "It's all in your head, baby".

Wrong.  Got a hint for those that are suffering like you are for the kind of doctors that seem not to care or listen to the patient.  When a doctor is unkindly to this type of patient, why don't you just make sure you shake the doctor's hand and thank him so much for his "proper diagnosis" and leave on his body those make believe things that are in your head, and not on your body!  Maybe after a few months, not he, but his whole family will be suffering part of what you are suffering.  Let's face it, if it is "all in your head", then there is no problem doing what you do.  Maybe, just maybe doctors will then start to get the message - but don't think they will be knocking on your door to render proper treatment.  They are egotistical holes, right from the very start, and they are always right -- or so they seem to think.

    Something that I haven't read

I recently have been dealing with what I call morgellons. No doubt in my mind. I am trying cedail oil and has stipped some of the itching. My vagina crawling and itching was the worst. I (know this is weird) but I video taped my vcagina so show there were live bugs and worms.I know have proof. It was horrifying.Tonight, was

The worst of all. My nose gets very tichy and put  hydrogen perioxide to my nose and inside with a qtip.I had tiny white worms apprearing around my nose and one was wiggling and alive. I capturd it for documentation. Has anyone had these worms in their face and what are they? They must hate hydrogen perioxide. This is such a maddening disease and feel as if it dominates my life. Please advise.Susan
