Consider what you wish to try, sad we are told what we need Mary, our decisions and gut instinct are far down the list of our researches.

Try NHS CHOICES they have a full list of medication you can research.

It sometimes they say O I would love that Rolls Royce, Yes we will give you a mini instead

Good Luck on your research, let me know how you get on.

I have researched this for myself and found that St. Johns Wort is the best...I haven't tried it thou because I think it works like other SSRI antidepressents and I can't take those.

Maybe it will work for you.

That is EXACTLY why I decided to try herbs because I was "afraid"...but I found out...do not underestimate the herbs....they do have side effects as well...and even worse...they are not regulated by the FDA so the ingredients have not even been approved for "safety".

When something has the FDA seal...it is certified to be

      Safe and Effective

I am currently not taking any herbs either because they are scary too.

I do drink Chamomile tea occassionally for night time anxiety and it seems to soothe me sometimes.

Honestly, thou your Dr. should prescribe something for your symptoms...because i have found out it is probably safer.

You need to be careful with the herbs they can have a nasty effect when taken with standard AD MEDICATIONS

I know border..I figured out how dangerous the hard way.

I took some 5HTP with some medication that also produced Seratonin.  I had a severe reaction..throwing up...pounding headache....and basically poisoned myself.  I'm kind of afraid of them now.

But, I always google drug interactions before I take anything new...even prescriptions..because a prescription was prescribed to me....that shouldn't have been and the pharmacist called the Dr. that prescribed it...but the Dr. kept me on it...so that medication ALONE was mixing poorly with other medications and the Dr. slipped and didn't remember to warn me.

THEN I took the 5Htp which exasperated everything.

      So..I do know.

LOL..glad you didn't have to learn the hard way as I did.

Probably just change depression med.  I have changed to Wellbutrin (Zyban in UK).  and I like it.
