Advice please!!

Hello. ive started taking citalopram 20mg for 6 days now and feel worse, is this normal cos ive already weaned off sertraline because it wasnt working im just scared these wont work too. any feedback would be appreciated thanks

    Learn as much as you can about your depression. It’s important to determine whether your depression symptoms are due to an underlying medical condition. If so, that condition will need to be treated first. The severity of your depression is also a factor. The more severe the depression, the more intensive the treatment you're likely to need.

      Thanks john.  ive suffered with depression for many years but seems worse this time, think the menopause could be a factor. dont really want to go down the hrt route, do you think increasing the citalopram may help, ive been on the 20mg for 18 days
